The character Kasuga Tsubaki in Blue Archive has an inherently lazy yet reliable aura, and this time I happened to use this Tsubaki (Guide) outfit to restore it. The navy blue suit is custom-made, with the waistline slightly adjusted, paired with a white shirt and a red bow tie, bringing a touch of academy style within the clean look. That small beret with ears is incredibly cute; I used quite a few bobby pins to secure the small red and white flowers on it. The walkie-talkie at the collar is the key to accuracy, and holding the vintage coiled-cord microphone in hand gives a great sense of context.

The shoot was conducted in a washitsu (Japanese-style room) scene, where the wooden sliding doors and rattan chairs are perfect for this everyday atmosphere. When I first took out the red signal flag, I kept thinking about waving it like a station guide, but experiencing it firsthand made me realize that a tour guide's job is truly not easy—my arm still got a bit sore from holding up the red flag and maintaining the pose continuously. Plus, I did stay up late before the shoot, and just like the post title says, I was extremely sleepy, but seeing the final photos made it feel totally worth it.

This time, the focus was placed on presenting the texture of the costume. The deep blue fabric has a beautiful luster under soft light, and I specially took close-ups to showcase the gloves, the walkie-talkie's coiled cord, and the tailoring of the short skirt. The red flag pops out against the wood-toned background, forming a nice visual focus. This kind of animal ears uniform style is actually quite a test for lighting; pairing it with a bit of side-backlighting can outline a sharp silhouette.

The difficulty in coordinating this entire look lies in how to add a bit of a lazy, cute trait into the formality. I intentionally adjusted the angles of my standing and sitting postures to make the movements look relaxed and avoid rigidity. As the shoot went on into the evening, my eyelids started to fight each other, but after all, the sense of conviction for this outfit had to be maintained. I hope to convey Tsubaki's very calm and reassuring state on camera.
