[Altria cosplay] Today's Menu for the Emiya Family: Everyday Life Eating Burgers with a Sword

This set was actually shot a while ago, and I hadn't gotten around to organizing and posting it until now. When setting this theme back then, the first thing that popped into my head was a casual moment laid free from the burdens of battle. The signature ahoge in her hair and this classic blue-and-white JK uniform, paired with a greatsword and fast food in hand, evoke that comforting, guard-down warmth straight from the Emiya family dinner table.

For pre-shoot prep, I selected natural green contact lenses to make my gaze look softer. The wig was flaxen blonde, trimmed slightly with texturized ends, paired with a dark blue bow tie. A white shirt paired with a dark blue pleated skirt is as classic a formula as it gets, perfectly bringing out a youthful, schoolgirl charm. Black tights in this series serve as a transition in this Black tights outfit—preserving student youthfulness while seamlessly bridging to the somewhat cool, chunky-heeled patent leather loafers on my feet, preventing the upper body from looking top-heavy.

I think the interesting part of this set lies in the prop contrast. Holding a silver greatsword in hand with a skateboard and milk tea nearby. During shooting, I intentionally refrained from raising the sword into a combat pose, letting it rest casually across my legs or beside me instead. Sitting relaxed like in the photos, pinching a burger wrapper in hand, or taking off one shoe to hold it—this relaxed state feels much closer to how the character appears in non-mainline stories.

During shooting, the photographer and I picked several angles. Like the close-up in photo 1 capturing facial expressions to focus attention entirely on emotion. There were also partial detail displays while seated, emphasizing details of black tights and chunky shoes. Bright studio lighting against a solid backdrop restored garment textures and colors very close to what the naked eye sees. Post-processing was kept restrained, avoiding excessive leg-slimming or heavy filters to retain authentic feel.

The live shooting felt full of everyday warmth. Holding both a burger and a sword required natural hand movements to avoid stiffness. I remember the sword almost slipped once, but luckily there was a cylindrical barrel beneath. While adjusting, I noticed barefoot and shod looks each had their own charm, so we shot both states. Unshoeing poses, pointing at shoes, or stepping on the skateboard added narrative flavor, making viewers feel this wasn't just studio posing, but genuine playful fun.

I always feel that when cosplaying characters in daily states, conveying a relaxed mood is far more crucial than chasing extreme visual accuracy. In lore settings, she is the King of the battlefield, but in gentle daily moments, being slightly languid with relaxed eyes makes her all the more adorable. Bringing a greatsword and food under warm tones makes the entire frame feel completely at ease.

This photo set visualizes that warm kitchen routine—free of serious confrontation, capturing a young girl's afternoon idleness after getting full. Through relaxed postures and prop choices, the overall output presents a sense of cozy stability. Shooting these casual photos feels most comfortable; without forced posing, it naturally reveals a soft, adorable side of the character rarely seen in Fate/Grand Order.
