[Blanc: White Rabbit cosplay] NIKKE Character Interpretation: A Visual Collision of Tea Ceremony and Black-Gold Outfit

This set of photos featuring Blanc: White Rabbit cosplay combines Japanese tea ceremony utensils with dynamic ribbon elements, creating an overall atmosphere that I personally love. The focal point in the photos is a modified black-and-gold kimono, where broad sleeves and tailored cuts create strong visual tension. The costume is embellished with golden dragon patterns and floral embroidery, which, paired with a white standing collar and semi-sheer black mesh underneath, preserves the character's dignity while adding a touch of mysterious aura unique to her. The wig is silver-white, adorned with a branch-like headpiece on top that recreates the character's specific elements for this Anime cosplay shoot.

A lot of thought went into the set design that day, with moss and greyish-white gravel laid underfoot to evoke the aesthetic of a zen dry landscape garden (Karesansui). To the side, a black iron teapot, two small teacups, a black carrying box with gold trim, and a small pine bonsai were intentionally placed as static props, creating a fine contrast against the overall flowing outfit. What catches the eye most is probably the black ribbon wrapping around me, printed with subtle gold patterns and hung with wooden tags and tassels. During the photoshoot, we tried tossing the ribbon multiple times to capture its natural arc in the air, finally selecting a lively shot for this Japanese-style photography session.

Regarding the display of leg lines, the combination of a black tights outfit and black patent leather high heels serves as a key element for raising maturity across most photography styles. Paired with the short kimono hemline, this combination elongates the leg proportions, which, together with the standing weight distribution, naturally expresses the character's composure. Against the studio's pure white background, this black-and-gold color contrast easily highlights the silhouette. To ensure finger posing also matched her demeanor, I trimmed my nails before the shoot, hoping to present a light yet effortless playfulness when raising my hands.

Off-camera, the sleeves and collar of this costume actually posed minor restrictions during movement, especially when extending both arms horizontally, as the fabric stretched tightly. Therefore, the angle of the sleeves had to be constantly adjusted during shooting to avoid unnatural creases. Moreover, because the elevated wooden platform was quite small, maintaining balance in high heels was a test of core strength. Fortunately, the photographer captured angles quickly, allowing me to complete the desired poses within a limited range of movement.

In portraying Blanc: White Rabbit from NIKKE, I feel it's not merely about piling up costume details, but more importantly capturing her demeanor—poised between easygoing grace and composure. This shoot didn't chase overly dramatic special effects; instead, it focused on the texture of light and shadow, using real props and physical ribbons to give the character a tangible presence. Compared to my previous works featuring battle-heavy or sharp styles, this interpretation allowed me to experience a unique blend of gentleness and sleek coolness. Expressing another side of her through Japanese-style photography was a truly enjoyable experience.
