This photoshoot features Arcueid's second-ascension Christmas princess look from Carnival Phantasm—the iconic concept of a vampire turning into a Magical Girl. Sincere thanks to photographer Moon cookies for the tireless capture throughout the session. Considerable thought went into the set design, building an all-pink sweet shop. The primary palette revolved around pink, white, and blue, utilizing abundant sheer drapes, a vintage vanity, tiered dessert stands, and custom-made donut display boards accented by strawberry shortcakes to evoke a rich, creamy, sugary ambiance. For the attire, I selected an oversized pink jacket layered over a white camisole featuring blue cross-laced ribbons and a bow, paired with a dark blue skirt. Since I wore pink-and-white Striped long socks, specific seated poses were intentionally incorporated during the shoot to better accentuate the contours of the legs. On the hair and makeup front, I wore striking red contact lenses alongside beast-ear wig styling, finished with glossy red lips to contrast the vampire's cold, striking glamour with the sweet charm of a Magical Girl, creating a brilliant duality. Regarding props, we prepared a silver-cored golden scepter alongside a compact black-tube prop. My personal favorites are the low-angle upward shots lying flat on the floor, which successfully brought out the character's languid yet innocent demeanor. Although the set was intricate, adjusting the studio lights and reflectors to achieve that dreamy texture required patience, but the final results were thoroughly ideal. Since the original reference post disallowed copying, the composition and set detailing were completely original fan-designed concepts. During pre-production, I carefully studied the character lore, pondering how to make a vampire maiden look like a Christmas princess while weaving playful hidden details among the dessert props. The pink sheer drapes and white European-style furnishings conjured an exquisite environment, while the cascading skirt layers and striped long socks enriched the frame's visual depth. Paired with direct gaze interaction before the lens, I strove to deliver an uncompromised visual statement. Upon reviewing the final deliverables, the dreamy pink-toned lighting paired with the character undeniably generated a powerful visual contrast, marking it as a truly extraordinary photography experience.
