This Phoebe outfit was actually prepared for quite a long time. Just that big hat underwent several pattern modifications; to make it look face-slimming when worn and prevent it from collapsing during the shoot, many support structures were made inside. The tailoring of the white trench coat is very meticulous, and paired with the blue-and-gold ribbons, it has a wonderful sense of fluidity when walking around. However, when kneeling, one must be careful to arrange the ribbons neatly, otherwise they will be pressed into creases.

I specially brought two core props this time: the spellbook and the staff. That blue-covered spellbook is printed with gold patterns and feels very substantial in hand. I even stuffed a few pages of handwritten notes inside as a little hidden easter egg for the inner pages; although the camera might not capture it, holding it myself gives a stronger sense of immersion. The staff's head has a wing-shaped metallic texture; during the shoot, to maintain balance, the arm's power point needed to be adjusted, otherwise it would easily wobble—especially for the horizontal-grip posture in Figure 4, which is quite a test of core strength.

The combination of white stockings and high-heeled long boots is highly photogenic during studio photography. However, long boots are truly not easy to put on and take off, and after finishing every set of actions, I had to adjust the position of the bows at the boot openings to ensure they always remained symmetrical. The entire shooting process utilized softboxes alongside high-key lighting, so the skin tone looks exceptionally clean and translucent, which also fits this character's holy and cool temperament.

During the shoot, the photographer and I kept chatting about how to express that sense of devoutness like "devotion to faith," but it couldn't be too serious since the character itself still carries a bit of playfulness and innocence. So in the end, we selected the kneeling-sitting pose cradling the book and holding the hat brim, which both preserved the mage's elegance and added approachability. In truth, this style tests the gaze and hand details the most. Once the glove stitching, the gold stamping on the book cover, and the zipper reflection of the boots are in place, the texture of the entire photo will come out through this journey of cosplay photography.
