[Ishtar Cosplay] Fate/Grand Order: Goddess of Beauty Who Governs Venus

The final cuts for this Ishtar Cosplay photoshoot from Fate/Grand Order are finally compiled!

This photo set had been planned for a long time, primarily aimed at conveying that unique aura of magnificence and divine majesty beneath the halo of Venus. From the costume design, Ishtar's battle robes possess distinct structural layers: an expansive pure white base contrasted with metallic golden armor pieces delivers intense visual punch. To faithfully convey this texture, heavy-drape fabrics were selected, while the cut-out chest detailing and refined edging along the golden armor components truly tested pattern drafting to the utmost.

Styling the wig was another major focus: the voluminous black curls required ample bounce to support the weight of the elaborate headpieces. Combining the sheer black ribbon bow with an ethereal flowing veil sent the character's enigmatic allure through the roof.

For makeup, to channel Ishtar's alluring yet overwhelmingly imposing divinity, I specifically intensified the eye makeup colors, opting for red contact lenses tinged with pink undertones. Uplifting the winged liner at the outer corners captured the haughty majesty befitting the Goddess of Beauty Who Governs Venus. For the lips, a softer red shade was chosen, radiating a supple, luminous warmth under the studio lighting.

The vibrant bright blue opera gloves on the arms formed a vivid contrast against the white puff sleeves, serving as an instantly recognizable signature of this look. As for props, immense thought and craft went into the white-and-gold weapon; imbued with a sacred, ceremonial presence, holding it carried tangible physical heft.

We scouted shooting venues for a long time, eventually settling on an indoor studio staged with blooming flora, relief-carved walls, and vintage birdcages. The white birdcage brimming with purple flowers on the left served as a fantastic accent, effortlessly harmonizing with the goddess's aura. For lighting, we utilized generous amounts of warm amber backlighting to forge a sacred, ethereal atmosphere.

The shooting process was actually quite demanding. To embody that lofty, sovereign divine posture of an imperious deity receiving tributes, I explored an extensive array of poses: from standing with weapon in hand looking down imperiously at the camera, to lounging gracefully amidst flowers, and finally tackling that grueling high-angle overhead shot while reclining, which truly tested core stability. Due to the off-the-shoulder silhouette and surrounding floral arrangements, sitting on the floor required meticulous care to showcase the skirt folds and leg contours, harmonized with black over-the-knee Stockings and golden thigh rings to balance alluring sensuality with opulent grandeur.

In particular, that final overhead flat-lay shot taken directly from above demanded completely extending leg contours while coordinating precise hand gestures and line of sight. Because balancing one's center of gravity while reclining flat is tricky, we went through multiple takes to reach perfection—showcasing body contours while preserving the goddess's effortless composure without letting physical strain furrow my brow.

When reciting that iconic line: "I am the Goddess Ishtar. The Goddess of Beauty who governs Venus. Revere me, fear me, and offer up your tributes!" I genuinely felt completely immersed in her presence.
