This shoot focused on the sleepwear styling of Evertsen from Azur Lane. Before locking in this project, I hesitated for quite a while because her original game illustration is not only ethereal and light, but also packed with intricate lace and ribbon details—severely testing hair, makeup, and post-processing light control. When actually holding the garment, my first impression was how genuinely "Anime girl" it felt: fine white sheer tulle interwoven with light blue lace trims, paired with a blue choker and camisole silhouette, created a dreamy, lazy domestic aura that everyday clothes simply cannot match.
To align with her elf setting, I custom-ordered long pointed elf ears. The accompanying light gray-white wig was intentionally selected with subtly curled ends to reveal soft, layered depth under sunlight. For makeup, rather than heavy contouring, I focused on a clear, translucent base, emphasizing eye enlargement and natural lash definition to keep the gaze pure and innocent—harmonizing beautifully with the white lace nightgown in this Cute cosplay presentation.
The shooting session went smoother than anticipated. The photographer selected a wooden-structured room with expansive windows where indoor daylight was remarkably clean. Green plants and pinkish-purple florals by the window and bed, framed against a white wrought-iron bedstead, endowed the scene with natural fairytale grace. I adore these two final photos, especially the second one: leaning forward naturally, my left hand gently tucked loose hair beside the elf ear with knees softly bent, creating fluid body contours that highlighted the ribbon ties at the neckline and the lace garter on the leg. This subtle touch of cozy sensuality captured the healing mood far better than rigid posing.
Of course, shooting in fabrics like these poses challenges: they crease easily and sheer white tulle can blow out under strong light. Controlling lighting and maintaining the right mindset were vital. Between takes, I placed a small yellow plushie by my feet to add a playful accent. As a cosplayer, I believe bringing a character to life goes beyond putting on garments and wigs—it requires channeling her daily essence. Since Evertsen is a relatively quiet Anime girl in Azur Lane, I stayed relaxed and tranquil before the lens.
We kept props minimal to preserve lightness, and post-processing retained genuine skin texture and fabric weave without heavy beauty filters. I strove to capture Evertsen's cozy, gentle warmth in this Pajama photo shoot, and I am thrilled with how this Evertsen cosplay turned out.
