I've started running the Final Fantasy XIV main scenario questline again, currently progressing through the 6.0 patch. Taking advantage of a two-character event in the Chocobo DC, I put on Alisaie's full outfit to refresh my mindset and immerse myself back into the game.
This red leather jacket is one of my favorite pieces; the leather's sheen and tailoring really test the craftsmanship. To capture the garment's texture under natural lighting, I tucked a small reflector inside the jacket to bounce subtle red highlights under the sun. The visual proportion of the white shorts paired with tall boots was essential—to make the legs look more elongated, I adjusted the boot shaft height and added soft insoles inside, which also helped me stand firmly on outdoor boulders. To capture her spirited, slightly proud expression, I spent considerable time trimming the silver-white wig; paired with the Elezen ears, the overall silhouette felt complete. The dawn redwood forest and waterside backdrop served as a natural canvas, offering a stark contrast that made the red outfit pop with striking visual impact.
In-game, I'm still very much a novice. Faced with complex class skill rotations, I'm only comfortable on healer roles; Summoner and Black Mage are jobs I level casually during downtime in the MSQ, so I haven't dared to cause trouble in high-end duties. My progress is currently at 6.0, and because I take the MSQ slowly, my social circle has remained small—aside from my mentor and my in-game partner who always accompanies me, I barely have other friends. Seeing others chat about new lore and fresh maps makes me quite envious.
Taking this opportunity, I hope to meet new Warriors of Light through Chocobo DC friend-making. Being naturally introverted and not great at starting conversations, I hope everyone can be patient with my slow, casual pace in-game. I love styling my character, putting together pretty glamours, and gradually soaking in the lore behind each job—it's truly healing. If there are other story-focused or casual players out there, you're more than welcome to message me to explore maps and complete hunting logs or collections together.
As for wearing this Alisaie cosplay, I should add: the red collar and jacket are quite fussy to maintain and crease with the slightest movement, but to get the best shots, I held my poses as steadily as possible. The outdoor setting had plenty of mosquitoes, but I powered through without minding the hassle. I hope my preparation brings out the lively, inquisitive nature of the character.
This is my travelogue in Eorzea. I'll take my time finishing 6.0 at this relaxed pace, and I look forward to exploring the world of Final Fantasy XIV together with fellow Warriors of Light!
