For this Anime convention, I cosplayed Yin Ziping from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT in her Mu Zhao outfit. The styling featured long silver-white hair paired with pointed Elf ears; that translucent, airy aesthetic harmonized effortlessly with her character persona. The garment is tailored from sheer chiffon with a pale green to white gradient, where layered draping allows the skirt to flutter with fluid lightness while walking or catching the wind. To complement the palette, I accessorized with a red berry necklace, golden bangles, and an arrangement of orange blossoms with green vines at the waist, granting the monochrome base crisp visual focal points.
The convention nameplate was crafted in green, tucked naturally at my waist as an in-character prop. For footwear, I opted for clear high-heeled sandals; since bare legs could otherwise look plain, I entwined vines adorned with white flowers around my ankles to visually elongate the lower body while enhancing an ethereal grace.
During the shoot, we scouted a shaded tree canopy to harness the natural afternoon rim-backlight. Sunlight filtering through the leaves cast a gentle halo along the edges of my hair and sheer dress, lending the whole frame a luminous transparency. To highlight the weightlessness of the skirt, the photographer captured multiple takes of lifting my steps and twirling. The main challenge with delicate chiffon lies in its tendency to wrinkle, requiring constant smoothing between takes, yet the resulting dynamic motion was thoroughly satisfying.
In post-processing, we preserved the natural skin texture and gently tuned the bokeh highlights to keep the green backdrop clean and make the subject pop. Looking back across the Anime convention shoot, the sheer richness of detail made this outfit turn heads in the crowd. The prop coordination and hair-and-makeup fidelity were spot on, wrapping up as a truly joyful creative experience.
