We really encountered a rainstorm during this Firefly convention, but to achieve the ideal effect, I decided to go out for the location shoot despite the rain. Susu braved the heavy rain to assist with the shoot, and the refraction of raindrops on the transparent umbrella added a dreamlike atmosphere to the frame. This black and white maid outfit of Alice, paired with blue and green twin tails, looks exceptionally refreshing on a cloudy and rainy day, while the blue trim and bows on the skirt echo the character's sense of technology. I specifically chose the parking garage entrance and outdoor desks as the setting, using a flash to darken the background and highlight the character's outline. The splashes caused by raindrops hitting the ground became a natural foreground embellishment. Although my shoes were soaked, seeing that cool yet agile temperament in the final photos made it all feel worth it. For these convention photos, I tried standing poses, close-ups of holding the umbrella, a playful one-legged pose, and interaction while sitting by the desk, wanting to restore Alice's curious and vibrant feel. The ruffles and pleats of the maid apron became more layered in the rain, and the lollipop prop also added a bit of daily fun. I hope every cosplay session can capture the most authentic emotions of the character; although rainy days are troublesome, they are a great opportunity for creation.
