I brought multiple outfits this time, basically rushing to shoot them in open spaces outside the venue. The first outfit featured a light blue short-sleeved top paired with brown long boots and short socks with white borders. Carrying that yellow kettle bag while walking outside the exhibition hall, the yellow small camera in my hand was actually a prop. I squatted on the ground for a long time to match the squatting posture, making my knees sore, but the captured result turned out quite energetic. Later, I changed into an Elf costume, wearing a silver-white gradient wig plus elf ears, with a relatively translucent makeup look. This outfit is picky about lighting; when shooting next to the bushes, the sunlight happened to filter down through the leaves, and the shadow effect on the side of the face and collarbone was unexpectedly good—the only catch was having to spray mosquito repellent wildly while wearing an off-shoulder dress. When shooting this set, I habitually placed my hand on my chin or forehead, which makes a person look slightly softer. Next was a more anime-leaning combat style look: a blue-and-white color-blocked uniform with white hair, cat ears, and white lace thigh-highs. The makeup for this set was applied slightly heavier, matched with a stern expression. Since I was wearing shorts plus White stockings, I had to be extra careful to prevent wardrobe malfunctions when posing; the squatting posture could only be slightly sideways, trying to extend the leg lines so the proportions would look better in the photos. Another red set, holding that long spear prop, was genuinely so heavy that I doubted life; my arms were shaking while holding the spear with both hands, but for the aura, I had to tough it out. There was also an angel look featuring a pure white long dress and angel wings; this set wasn't suited for laughing out loud, so I knelt on the ground with my arms crossed over my chest, lowering my gaze. I rarely shoot this quiet, melancholic style normally, so it felt quite fresh. Finally, there was a dark blue mage outfit with gold trim, and the staff in hand featuring a blue butterfly was particularly eye-catching, causing many passersby to stop and take pictures on-site. The material of this outfit is relatively thick, and wearing it on a scorching hot day is truly a test, but the purple-blue wig along with those few golden chains made a crisp colliding sound when making movements, and I quite like those details. After a full day at Firefly, adding changing clothes and finding locations, my WeChat step count directly broke 20,000. Convention photos are like this: taking pictures might only take a few minutes, but the early makeup preparation and on-site adjustments take a lot of time. Especially the wig—you must use hair wax to tidy up stray hairs, otherwise they will look frizzy in photos. When shooting outdoors, I usually look for places with a boundary between light and shadow, such as the intersection of building shadows and sunlight, so the facial lighting looks more three-dimensional. This set of photos required almost no major touch-ups, mainly just adjusting the color temperature and contrast; mixing the overhead lighting of the convention with outdoor natural light is quite troublesome.
