This shoot features Elysia (Honkai Impact 3rd), and a lot of thought went into the details of the entire costume. The purple-gold patterns on the shoulder armor and the hollow design of the skirt hem were individually reinforced to ensure that no unwanted wrinkles would form when drawing the bow. The wig was chosen in a more matte pink tone, which, paired with the elf ears and blue contact lenses, restored that lightweight and agile quality of the character. The bow in the photo was custom handmade, with a gradient paint job on the bow body, and the bowstring used highly elastic fishing line, which maintains great tension when fully drawn. To present that power-gathering state during the shoot, I repeatedly adjusted the arm angle and center of gravity to make the overall lines look smoother. The scene was chosen with a combination of a white Gothic arch and blue and white floral arrangements. The lighting was mainly cool white, and the purple-pink ambient light was finely tuned in post-processing to make the colors fit the character's own dreamlike vibe. In fact, Elysia has very versatile poses; besides drawing the bow, I also shot a few side-sitting frames, such as the pose with one hand supporting on the ground, where the focus is on the extension of the arms and legs, while being careful not to let the armor's pendants block the facial contours. Every time I cosplay this type of character with props, the physical exertion is indeed quite heavy, but being able to express the character's lively and playful temperament through the lens makes everything feel so worth it in this cosplay photography experience. The material of the costume uses composite leather and matte stretch fabric, which preserves the heaviness of the armor while ensuring flexibility of movement for this Anime girl.
