When shooting this summer swimsuit look of Seia Yurizono from Blue Archive, the weather didn't completely cooperate. Although the background of blue sky and white clouds was very healing, the light reflection on the sea surface was extremely intense, leading to harsh lighting contrast around noon. To capture a soft skin texture, we had to choose a time later in the afternoon when the sunlight was slightly slanted for the summer photoshoot.

This styling contains many details, such as the wolf head emblem on the hat, the golden symbols on the hair ornaments, and those inconspicuous little hairpins on the animal ears, which required a lot of thought during the early stages of preparing accessories. The color of the wig leans toward a very light cream gold, ensuring it won't look harsh under strong light, but instead produces a soft-focus effect. The white one-piece swimsuit has a relatively simple cut, so the semi-transparent outer cover-up becomes key to adding layers. When the wind blows, the flowing feel of the tulle perfectly complements the seaside setting.

The inflatable swim ring served not only as a prop but also as a shock absorber during the shoot. Especially when sitting on the sandy ground like in Picture 1 while the waves surged up and washed over, controlling my balance slightly allowed me to display a very natural, lazy vibe. In order to express the character's cold yet cute temperament, my gaze was usually slightly vacant, paired with gestures like resting my chin on my hand or pinching the brim of my hat to lower any sense of aggressiveness. Meanwhile, the compositions of kneeling on the beach in Picture 2 and Picture 3 were actually designed to close the distance with the lens, increasing the intimacy during interaction.

Although shooting on the sand has its difficulties—such as fine grains of sand getting under my feet and into my clothes, and the fill-light work with reflectors combined with the sound of the wind and waves making the set much busier than imagined—the final visual presentation was well worth the effort after repeated attempts and adjusting my positioning. Overall, besides capturing dynamic motions, this cosplay photography session put more effort into finding a spatial balance among the sea, sky, palm trees, and the character in the composition. I hope this attempt to integrate summer vitality while preserving the character's original traits can bring everyone a pleasant visual experience.
