Summer Swimsuit Moments with Kuda Izuna - Image 2

Putting on this swimsuit and holding that exclusive photo album printed with my own photos, I felt the unique coolness of summer amidst the light and shadow of the outdoor bar. I fell in love with this Kuda Izuna cosplay swimsuit look the moment I saw the design sheets. For this shoot, we specifically chose an outdoor bar with a thatched roof as the main scene. The various bottles filling the wooden wine cabinet nearby, combined with the wooden floor underfoot, instantly maximized the tropical vacation vibe.

The color of the wig and the styling of the tips were made to closely match the original work. The sun hat adorned with sunflower decorations on top of my head, along with the two fluffy animal ears and a small pink scarf, stood out beautifully against the pure blue-and-white striped swimsuit. What took the most effort was actually that massive fox tail—it has immense hair volume and is incredibly fluffy. For the sitting composition on the bar stool, the tail happened to drape naturally right beside me, greatly enriching the layers of the frame. The dash of bright blue wristbands on the outfit was also a perfect finishing touch, adding a vibrant hop to the overall blue, white, and yellow color scheme.

The sunshine on the day of the shoot was excellent. The light filtered down diagonally through the cracks in the thatched roof, hitting the bar counter and my body, forming very comfortable highlights and shadows. Stepping barefoot on the wooden floor or sitting on the high stool with my feet dangling gave this photoset a very relaxed, natural, and casual flavor. In terms of props, I specially prepared this look-alike photo booklet. Holding it in my hand during the shoot felt like looking at my past photos, creating a wonderful picture-in-picture effect within the frame. To ensure a clean visual, two photographers took turns in our cosplay photography session, finding angles and adjusting the reflectors. The direction of post-processing also preserved the original skin texture and the vibrancy of the clothes, avoiding over-exaggerated skin smoothing, hoping to deliver the most authentic summer feel.

Although the outdoor temperature was a bit high while shooting this set—after all, layering a scarf with a fluffy large tail plus a thick wig was indeed quite muggy—seeing the bright, refreshing, and energetic feeling in the final photos made all the efforts completely worth it. The tailoring and color palette of this outfit truly bring out a lot of vitality. Paired with the wild natural environment, the color restoration in the final photos is exceptionally high, leaving almost no need to forcefully boost saturation in post-processing, presenting an authentic summer pool photo shoot style. I've always felt that roleplay isn't just as simple as putting on a costume; integrating into the state of the environment and making expressions that fit the character are what make the photos feel like they have a story. I hope that through these images, you can feel that relaxed and leisurely mood of a summer afternoon.
