【Elysia Cosplay】Honkai Impact 3rd: Pink Fairy's Battle Skirt and Fluorescent Weapon - Image 2

For this shoot, I wore Elysia's pink-and-purple battle dress along with her massive weapon from Honkai Impact 3rd. The garment features extensive detailing: the pauldron has a cross pattern in gold against a black base with purple trim, treated with a lacquer finish that makes it crisp, rigid, and reflective. The inner white top fabric is thick and completely opaque. The flared cuffs are quite large, with extensive cloud-pattern detailing in white lines on black, swaying dynamically with every step. The lower half features an asymmetrical design—one side has a high slit paired with dark Stockings equipped with straps and metal buckles, while the other side is a long black skirt finished with white cuffs and fluffy trim. Wearing it creates pronounced layering and dimension. The most striking element is that massive fluorescent weapon; the pink blade part is semi-transparent acrylic concealing internal LED strips, giving it substantial weight in hand. Holding it one-handed while finding the center of gravity was tricky, requiring multiple posture adjustments to avoid stiffness. To complement this weapon and the Pink color scheme background, we used a high-powered backlight as the primary source, shining from behind onto the pink backdrop to create a dramatic halo glow that cleanly outlined the weapon and illuminated hair strands. For hair and makeup, blue-violet contacts paired with elongated, winged eyeliner, short pinkish-white hair, and a dark spiked headpiece lent the facial contours an authentic elven charm. Styling wax was applied to maintain individual strand texture under backlighting. Managing expressions and eye contact was crucial, aiming to convey an aura of elegance tinged with dangerous mystique. I tried a seated pose lifting one leg while holding the weapon—as seen in photo two—to display the character's graceful lines, emphasizing long legs and the texture of the Stockings. Post-processing focused on fine-tuning tones, retaining the high saturation of the background Pink color scheme while deepening edge shadows to boost that 2D CG feel. Doing extensive homework on figure-grade prop recreation and fabric selection deepened my practical understanding of Elysia and the subtle shifts in weapon reflections across different angles, making this an immensely rewarding experience.
