This Blue Archive idol Marie photo set is finally meeting everyone. To present a perfect stage feel, we put a lot of thought into the set design. Deep red velvet curtains matched with wooden flooring, coupled with wildly generated dry ice smoke and warm-toned spotlights on site—the moment light penetrated the smoke and hit my body, there was truly an illusion of standing on an exclusive concert stage.

In terms of clothing, this idol-themed stage outfit has an abundance of details. A black retro mini top hat paired with white feathers and golden beast ears, plus that iconic halo behind, maxes out the visual effect. The circular geometric hidden patterns on the skirt hem and the multi-layered ruffles have great texture under the lights. To match the stage idol setup, I purposely paired it with back-seamed Stockings and black high heels with bows, which visually lengthen the leg lines and add a touch of subtle sexiness. Wearing this outfit, even walking makes me want to stand on tiptoes and spin around.

During the shoot, that golden retro standing microphone was absolute visual center. I tried many kinds of interactive poses with the microphone, such as holding the microphone pole with both hands, leaning gently against it, or casually sitting on a white round platform, using the body to conform to this slightly languid yet full-of-control stage atmosphere. Actually, when shooting while sitting on the round platform, displaying the leg lines was crucial, and the photographer wonderfully captured the glossiness of the Stockings and the details of the high heels. When standing, I tried my best to keep my waist and back straight, letting the skirt hem drape naturally, which not only makes one look sleeker and taller, but also better displays the overall silhouette of the costume.

In controlling expressions, I tried my best to immerse myself in the state of preparing for a performance. Sometimes looking straight into the lens to show confidence, sometimes slightly lowering the head pretending to ponder lyrics, or even turning my back to lift the skirt hem, leaving the audience with a back view. A chibi-style matching doll placed nearby can be considered a small easter egg during the shooting process; sharing a frame with it felt particularly magical, as if two versions of myself were performing on the same stage. To give the frame more narrative sense, I would sometimes turn slightly sideways, with my gaze looking outside the lens, creating an illusion of interacting with the audience below the stage.

The entire shooting process was actually a great test of physical endurance and coordination with lighting and smoke, because dry ice dissipates easily, requiring adjustments of posture and expression to the optimal state within seconds. Moreover, to capture the best angle of light penetrating the smoke, we needed to repeatedly test different standing positions. Seeing the light-and-shadow atmosphere and the final visual effect in the finished photos, I felt all the hard work was completely worth it. The gorgeousness and stage feel of this styling are truly unforgettable, and I hope everyone can also feel the live infectious energy conveyed through the photos.
