Let's dive straight into the shooting and styling details from this convention. To faithfully recreate the character, I chose light purple colored contacts and long, straight silver-white hair, paired with Elf ears props. For makeup, I intentionally used a lighter foundation to brighten the skin tone, giving the overall aura a cooler touch. This outfit features multiple layers: beneath the white coat is a glossy, semi-translucent purple fabric with gold prints on the skirt hem, requiring careful smoothing when worn to prevent unsightly creases. The thick white stockings in this White thigh-highs outfit, paired with purple leg straps, helped sculpt flattering leg contours.
During the shoot, we specifically chose a relatively open area within the exhibition hall, using a wide aperture to blur out the background. The photographer spent a lot of time guiding me to constantly adjust my seated poses and hand placements so the skirt could fan out naturally while elongating leg lines, which is why the first side-sitting shot was chosen as the cover. The kneeling pose was also meticulously refined to keep the collar structure from collapsing. These seated poses require precise pelvic alignment and center-of-gravity distribution to keep the silhouette clean, and because white fabric easily catches light, on-set reflections needed constant monitoring.
Regarding post-processing, the main focus was brightening skin tones while preserving natural skin texture, emphasizing the translucent depth of the purple fabric and the lustrous shine of the hair. Lighting at a convention hall is notoriously chaotic, especially with harsh floor reflections making shooting tricky. We managed to balance the lighting ratios using reflectors and fill lights, and fortunately the final luminous clarity turned out great for this Convention photo report.
Crouching and walking around in this costume was quite a workout; the voluminous skirt easily tripped me up and sitting in position for too long made my legs numb, requiring repeated adjustments to match framing. But seeing the finalized photos made every bit of effort worthwhile. With every cosplay, I love obsessing over fine details—the placement of the floral hair ornament, the curve of the wig bangs, the height of the collar, and the tension of the straps. Paying attention to these subtle nuances brings the final image closer to the character's soul. This pure white and lavender palette is easily tinted by ambient convention lighting, so careful color management and lighting control were essential. I hope this photoset conveys the ethereal grace and elegance of the original character design.
