Shooting these Convention photos of Aemeath at Fes was genuinely a test of physical stamina. While the white high-heeled boots and bodysuit were visually stunning, walking around the exhibition hall in them was not easy. The mechanical wings on my back looked fantastic but were quite heavy; to maintain an upright posture for frontal shots, I had to consciously adjust the weight distribution on my waist.
The location was chosen around the stage area in the convention hall. Since the lighting was strong, the photographer @普普通通小vice used multiple reflectors to diffuse the harsh highlights. Photo 1 is a wide frontal panoramic shot, requiring coordination with the stage lights to showcase the reflections of the white and blue materials. I posed with the microphone prop at various angles before settling on placing it close to my cheek. Paired with the white over-the-knee boots and gradient leg ribbons, it found the most harmonious visual balance in the frame.
Photo 2 is a half-body back view taken in front of the adjacent mecha background, nicely accentuating the hair length and the mechanical structure on the back. For this styling, while poses appear effortless, placing the wig and props properly is crucial—even a slight misalignment could reveal flaws. During the shoot, many ACG fans gathered around; they were intrigued by the garment materials and tail accessories. I was glad to share tips on keeping long, voluminous pink wigs neat at an Offline event and preventing white boots from getting soiled. Although the dress is lightweight, the outer fringe detailing required constant smoothing to avoid looking untidy.
In an on-site environment like Fes, achieving great Cosplay photography depends not only on the texture of costumes and props but also on one's on-the-spot composure. This set of Convention photos wasn't heavily retouched, focusing instead on preserving natural clarity so that stitching details and gold leg-armor patterns remain visible. The back shot exudes a strong sci-fi vibe with luminous blue lines beautifully highlighted; however, for showcasing body proportions and frontal expressions, the front shot packs greater visual impact. Moreover, the front view clearly presents the core design elements—primarily white and blue with black accents—giving it an elegant look. Wearing this gear at an Offline event requires constant care in crowds to prevent props from bumping into others. The posing tips guided by the photographer also allowed me to display leg lines naturally and comfortably. Though ambient lighting was scattered from certain angles, the overall dreamy aura and commanding presence met my expectations.
