[Chisa cosplay] Wuthering Waves Preppy Style: Classroom Light and Shadow After School

Today, I'm sharing the creative process behind this Wuthering Waves Preppy style shoot for Chisa. The setting was scouted directly within a classroom: Japanese chalk calligraphy across the blackboard, vintage wooden desks and chairs, and warm, golden raking sunlight streaming through the windows created an intensely immersive atmosphere. To align with this preppy concept, I selected a slate-blue sailor-collar jacket layered over a cropped black top and pleated skirt, anchored by a vivid orange tie and matching hair ribbons that acted as the compositional focal points. The Black stockings and chunky platform loafers were decisive in elevating the overall aura, with raking rim lighting elongating leg contours to render them even more slender and statuesque.

In designing kinetic stances, I explored diverse states of being: sitting cross-legged atop a wooden desk, leaning pensively against the blackboard, or casually flipping through a textbook—each posture seeking a delicate equilibrium between languid ease and cool aloofness. Chisa possesses a singular, multifaceted temperament; while her backstory touches on confronting adversity, escaping confinement, and reaching toward cosmic celestial ideals, the sheltered sanctuary of a school allows her to reveal an unfiltered, authentic side of herself. Through the camera lens, I hoped to channel this complex yet untainted aesthetic beauty. The photographer had an extraordinary eye for capturing light, particularly the fleeting moments when afternoon sunlight poured through the window panes across the floor, making every single shutter click pulse with cinematic storytelling. The delicate weave and sheen of the Black stockings rendered with refined softness under the warm illumination, imparting a nostalgic, vintage film tone to the collection.

The entire shoot flowed with effortless synergy, and the studio set matched the character's aesthetic needs impeccably. Every prop—from the green botanical-covered textbook and the vintage globe to discarded test papers—lent dimensional richness to the frames. Rather than forcing flamboyant, theatrical poses, I let my body language flow organically from the environment and surrounding props. I am thoroughly enamored with the final selects: striking that delicate balance between academic propriety and an undercurrent of subtle rebellion and allure.
