For this shoot, I portrayed Aemeath from Wuthering Waves. During makeup tests, I was constantly pondering how to express that cool detachment infused with delicate softness. Pairing the wig with the hairpiece took considerable time—getting that exact shade of pink right was tricky, as it needed a cool undertone to avoid looking gaudy.
To match the character's nuances, I specifically chose this Pink gaming room backdrop. When doing this cosplay, the biggest challenge was putting on and removing the props and costume. While the long opera gloves look gorgeous, wearing them for extended shoots easily leaves skin indentations, so every movement range had to be carefully controlled to avoid awkward creasing.
The hand-heart gesture in Photo 1 was meant to capture her playful side; though she often appears unapproachable, she still possesses a youthful maiden-like charm. The Leg garter detail was also a key highlight of this styling, requiring a snug fit against leg contours to look flattering and maintaining an optimal visual line even after multiple camera angle adjustments.
Photo 2 deliberately cultivated an everyday ambiance, feeling as if she were in her own room, with her gaze naturally drifting toward the monitor. Even though it's cosplay, I wanted the final result to convey genuine warmth and dimensionality rather than looking like a rigid pose.
Preparing this costume and props was somewhat intricate, especially the floating-effect headpiece on the crown. To ensure it remained securely fastened without hindering movement, we tested and adjusted it repeatedly. The garment tailoring also needed fine-tuning; the white fabric demands strict body silhouette control to prevent unwanted shadows on camera.
Because Wuthering Waves features an anime aesthetic, I made numerous subtle makeup adjustments—such as elongating the eye makeup proportions and choosing specific lip shades—all striving to mirror the cool, aloof temperament of her character splash art. The entire shoot lasted several hours, and sitting in that pink gaming chair amid the ambient lighting, I gradually immersed myself in her persona.
In post-processing, I preserved the natural pink ambient glow to make the entire frame dreamier, perfectly fitting the poetic mood of "falling snow can only linger for a moment." This is truly where the joy of cosplay lies—briefly experiencing another character's life and freezing those moments in photos. For Aemeath, details make all the difference, and from the teal patterns on the hands to the tiny trims on the costume, every element was polished with dedication.
Shooting Aemeath in the Pink gaming room was a wonderful experience with great prop textures. I hope everyone feels the character's charm through these photos, and I look forward to sharing more exciting shooting journeys in the future.
