This Jinhsi shoot was completed at Chongqing Lumao Photography Studio. Master Ziqian's lighting strategy was exceptionally clear, utilizing a dark backdrop paired with white dragon props and ground-level water reflections to instantly yield layered visual depth. This Wuthering Waves cosplay ensemble is packed with intricate details—gold piping framing black armor plating, subtle jacquard textures across the skirt, and the combination of a Leg garter with over-the-knee white hosiery. To faithfully replicate these textures, I spent considerable time adjusting every element at home. Because the silver wig was exceptionally long and prone to tangling, I carefully combed through it and trimmed the bangs into the proper curve prior to shooting.

Poses on set required careful ergonomics: holding the calligraphy brush suspended in mid-air continuously strains arm muscles, so learning to shift body weight—such as bracing an elbow on a wooden crate or resting the wrist lightly—proved essential. Photo 3 features my favorite framing: reclining sideways atop the crate while using surrounding lotus blossoms and wooden structures as foreground framing. This setup not only accentuated body contours but also allowed the billowing train to drape organically. Furthermore, pale blue cosmetic contacts and a slightly porcelain base makeup harmonized with the cool-toned aesthetic. The photographer guided my chin angles to crisply define the jawline and eye direction, keeping the subject centered while reserving negative space for the distant dragon and lotus decor.

Exploring the character's emotional nuance on set was an engaging experience; despite the ethereal, celestial atmosphere in frame, the studio floor was crisscrossed with cables, requiring mindful care atop the crate to dodge reflector boards in the water basin. The White tights cosplay paired with the leg garter amplified leg length during this pose, serving as a standout highlight. Bobby pins securely anchored the headwear so ribbons would not slip during head turns, and the sweeping blue-and-white streamers required constant repositioning to avoid casting unwanted shadows on my face. Overall, this project provided valuable experience across pre-production makeup, prop handling, physical poise, and lighting synergy. The clean monochrome depth achieved through lotus props and glyphs created striking contrast far more impactful than purely warm lighting, preserving Jinhsi's canonical detachment in a truly rewarding session.
