Today, wandering around the OCR Original Character immersive exhibition at Global Harbor, the overall experience was very comfortable. The on-site order was great, and I didn't encounter any elbowing situations for grabbing camera positions. These Convention photos were mainly shot in the indoor photography area. The blue-and-white walls plus the top panel lights saved a lot of trouble with lighting. For this convention, three sets of different styles of costumes and props were prepared in advance. The first set of styling is a black sleeveless dress matched with starry gradient kemonomimi cosplay. The leather corset of this set was tied relatively tightly, and the skirt hem features an irregular short-front, long-back design. For the high-kick action in Picture 1, I tried it repeatedly a few times wearing platform long boots. The boots were not light, and kicking actually tested core strength a lot, finally capturing a satisfying moment. Picture 2's posture of kneeling on one knee holding a prop arrow hurt the knees slightly upon direct contact with the hard floor, but I endured it for the sake of frame tension. Pictures 3 and 4 are side-sitting stretching and squatting postures respectively, and the photographer specially found a low angle to make the leg lines and boot outlines more obvious. The entire shooting process communication was very smooth, and the angle ofليس the reflector was adjusted in time. The second set is a Traditional Chinese style cosplay outfit, featuring light brown double braids with red-brown highlights, and wide white sleeves with blue cloud patterns. Red ribbons and the yellow talisman paper in hand are key props to increase frame dynamism. Picture 5's standing posture showcases costume details. Picture 6's close-up of biting the talisman paper and pointing at the lens relies heavily on gaze coordination. Picture 7's light action of raising one leg backward required coordinating the swinging of the large sleeves, presenting a fairly good stage feel. The third set is a wasteland-style silver-haired kemonomimi cosplay styling. A leather hood with plush inner ears plus a heavy brown scarf, paired with leather shorts and Marten boots, looks extremely rugged. Picture 8's kicking action demonstrates the strength exertion of the waist and abdomen. Picture 9 shows standing with crossed legs, and Picture 10 shows getting close to the lens to display heterochromia eyes and paw pad gloves. A whole day of roaming the convention plus studio shooting—although changing clothes and touch-ups were very busy, and the wig needed constant brushing to stay fluffy, being able to shoot these high-quality Convention photos and feel the good atmosphere on-site made all the hard work worthwhile. While roaming the convention, I also met several fellow fans who were also browsing the exhibition; everyone helped watch each other's backpacks and chatted for a bit about shooting insights. Even as an Original Character, one can feel everyone's passion for the cosplay culture. The on-site lighting and venue space allowed body movements to open up, which is also a key factor in taking ideal photos. Every time doing this kind of styling requiring large movements, one must stretch and warm up in advance, because safety comes first after all. The immersive experience of the OCR convention is done very well; the venue is spacious, and walking around doesn't feel crowded. I hope there will be more such opportunities in the future to communicate and share with everyone.
