The convention photos from this event are finally in my hands! Putting on this swimsuit outfit of Elysia makes me feel entirely surrounded by pink bubbles. The hair strands of the wig were handled very smoothly, and I deliberately went with a styling that carries a bit of an airy feel. Paired with the elf ears and lace hair accessories, I'm quite satisfied with the accuracy myself. The blue tulle top, white ruffled skirt hem, garter stockings, and stiletto high heels combine into an overall coordination that has both a maiden's agility and the refreshing essence of a swimsuit look.
During the shoot, it was already afternoon at the convention, meaning the light was quite harsh. However, the photographer was excellent at utilizing the on-site overhead light, beautifully highlighting the skin texture and the clothing patterns. I especially love the set where I'm sitting on the carpet; the strap details around the ankles and the gold threads on the skirt hem were shot very clearly. Of course, the single-leg balance for the standing poses was practiced in advance, allowing the output frames to look more lightweight and lively. Every time I do an Elysia Cosplay, I ponder over her expressions—that confident yet slightly playful feel—trying my best to approach it through glances and hand gestures. Moving through the convention crowds in this outfit cut was actually very comfortable, as it isn't too heavy or too dragging.
During the early preparation, the colored contact lenses were chosen to be a light blue very close to the character, which, together with the pinkish eyeshadow, made the entire makeup look softer. Many passersby on-site recognized the character too, letting me feel everyone's love for Honkai Impact 3rd characters. Every instance of cosplay is a process of reinterpreting a character; grasping that exact moment of "soul" in front of the lens is probably the most joyful aspect of character roleplay.
