Looking through the album and seeing this set of photos from the convention, a surge of happiness rushes through me once again.

Being able to do a Touhou Project cosplay with everyone this time was truly an unforgettable experience. From early preparations to on-site shooting, every step was full of fun and challenges. For characters with such distinct styles like the Touhou series, styling the wigs alone took a lot of effort. Bright colors like mint green, pink, light purple, and sky blue demand high precision in dyeing and trimming. Luckily, my besties and I share the same passion as fellow Anime enthusiasts—we helped each other style wigs, adjust bangs, and even picked several wig materials together just to find the shades that best matched the original character designs.

On the day of the shoot, the exhibition hall was quite crowded. We found a relatively quiet corner to make final hair and makeup adjustments. Putting on contact lenses, carefully smoothing out the lace and ruffles on our skirts, and checking if all props were intact. Especially that big red eye prop, along with exquisite books and magic wands—holding them in hand was not only a posing tool, but proof of everyone's serious attitude toward their characters. Although the preparation process was tedious, chatting and teasing each other while tidying up turned into a joyful daily routine unique to us.

When officially standing in front of the lens, everyone quickly got into character. While we couldn't claim to be as effortless as professional models, driven by our love for this Touhou Project setting, every subtle movement and expression tried to convey that fantastical and gorgeous atmosphere. The photographer was also very patient in guiding our positions and finding angles with the best lighting. Every time we heard the shutter click and saw the vibrant colors and intricate costume details in the viewfinder, we felt that all the hard work prepping these looks was completely worth it.

What touched me most that day was the group of friends by my side who share the same age and passions. In real life, everyone is busy running around for their own work and lives. Being able to spare time and gather at the same convention from all directions for a shared hobby—this unspoken tacit understanding is truly precious. We looked out for each other along the way, carrying bags for one another, holding each other when tired from walking, and shouting the slogan "Touhou for a lifetime!" It was actually expressing an attitude of wanting to protect this pure passion forever.

Flipping through these photos, beyond the gorgeous hair and makeup, there is a vivid and real sense of on-site presence. There were no forced poses, just everyone's most natural state in the moment. I won't use overly grand or ornate words to describe this feeling, but having a group of people who understand you, focusing together on things you love, is in itself a very stable happiness. I hope that every year in the future, we can continue doing the Anime convention cosplay we love and leave even more convention memories that belong to us.
