For this CPG anime convention, I cosplayed Yvonne from Arknights: Endfield.

This look demands quite a lot of wig styling. The long pink hair needed to be fluffy and dimensional, while the teal dip-dyed ends had to be handled separately; before styling, I gently ran a curling iron through the hair to create natural waves. The black-to-pink gradient horn props on top are the soul of the entire set. To secure them to my head, I used an invisible hairnet crisscrossed with bobby pins, which stayed firmly in place throughout a full day of shooting. The black choker around my neck and the silver metallic tube structure connecting to the chest were assembled as separate modular pieces, contouring snugly against the neckline.

The outfit features rich layering. The inner layer is a blue-and-white striped cropped top, layered under a bright neon-pink reflective jacket; to accommodate dynamic posing, I kept the jacket draped halfway down around my elbows. Around the waist sits a cincher made of black mesh and pink light-reactive fabric, with an event pass and a pink plush cat-paw charm hanging from the side. For the lower half, white stockings-like fitted pants hugged the leg lines; while this snug material flatters leg contours nicely, one small drawback is that it easily picks up dust, requiring constant care when moving outdoors. On my feet were black chunky platform heeled ankle boots with soles around 7 to 8 cm high—they elongate the leg lines beautifully for photos, but walking around a convention all day in them is a serious workout.

The chibi Yvonne fan in my hand served as a fantastic interactive prop. At the venue, I used it to guide visitors to participate in the booth check-in activities. Printed with the character's chibi avatar and a QR code, it drew many fellow fans over to interact. To stay true to the character design, I wore bright blue contact lenses and extended the soft shading along the lower lash line to make the eyes appear larger and more expressive. Blush was placed beneath the eyes and across the tip of the nose, finished with a dewy pink lip gloss.

The outdoor lighting at the convention was fairly complex, with background buildings and crowds easily stealing focus. To get the best convention photos, we scouted a relatively open plaza outside the exhibition hall, using a wide aperture to blur the background and keep visual attention locked on the subject. Full-body framing showcased the full costume and boot proportions, while close-ups highlighted the fine craftsmanship of the choker and horns. During the shoot, wind direction and sun angles shifted constantly, occasionally blowing hair into my eyes, requiring continuous adjustments to my stance and center of gravity to maintain poise.

The synthetic fabrics can feel rather warm and stuffy under summer outdoor heat, especially the bright pink jacket. However, the striking visual clash of blue, white, and neon pink pops brilliantly in convention photos. I made a habit of smoothing out garment creases before each shot, ensuring that waist contours and layered folds never appeared bulky. Bringing Yvonne to life went smoothly from outfit preparation to live shooting. Taking off the horns and wig at the end was an immense relief for my scalp and neck, but seeing the captured shots on the camera display, the quality and vibrant color fidelity of the cosplay made the whole trip worthwhile.
