[Jalter Cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Witch's Lazy Rest Time

The chosen theme for this Fate/Grand Order Jalter cosplay shoot was "Witch's Rest". To fit this theme, we specially sought out a European vintage sofa with golden carved frames and deep purple velvet cushioning for the scene selection. The entire background was also covered with a 3D purple flower wall, aiming to create a gorgeous yet slightly oppressive gothic atmosphere.

A lot of effort went into the costumes, props, and makeup. This deep purple dress utilizes a glossy satin material, reflecting different shades of purple under lighting from various angles, giving it an exceptional texture. The black lace and fine sequins dotted along the chest edge are the finishing touch, working together with the strapless design to brilliantly showcase the shoulder and neck lines. To echo the dress, it was paired with deep purple silk long gloves extending past the elbows, with the glove cuffs specially chosen to feature black lace borders so that the edge details can be captured by the lens when raising a hand or gently caressing the head. The deep purple semi-sheer thigh-high stockings on the legs are also key to elevating the overall atmospheric vibe; when crossing the legs or slightly curling up on the sofa, they wonderfully elongate the leg lines and add a touch of sexy tension.

Regarding makeup and styling, the soul of Jalter lies in her gaze. To recreate that aloof, tsundere, yet somewhat dangerous temperament, I chose amber contact lenses. The eye makeup deepened the blending at the outer corners of the eyes, elongating the eye shape, paired with true red lipstick, making her look much more imposing. That signature silver-white short hair was specially styled with layers to look fluffier and more natural. The dark gray headpiece with hollowed-out geometric lines on top of her head is an important feature of the character; once worn, the character's recognizability instantly stands out.

In terms of pose direction, since the theme is "Rest", I didn't deliberately strike poses full of combat or tension, choosing instead to lazily lean against the sofa armrest. The back of my left hand gently rests near the headpiece, my right hand is naturally raised and suspended in mid-air, one leg is bent while the other extends, and my gaze looks straight into the lens. This not only showcases the details of the costume, but also conveys through body language the witch's unique state of being relaxed yet maintaining vigilance during combat intermissions. During the shoot, a relatively bright frontal light was applied, which not only made the character's skin tone appear fair and translucent, but also perfectly rendered the glossy texture of the satin dress and stockings. I hope this set of photos allows everyone to feel Jalter's unique charm.
