[Sunna cosplay] The mint-colored girl in Zenless Zone Zero, freezing sweet and cool moments in a pink gaming room

Mint-colored twin-tails, pink and white striped arm sleeves, slouch socks, plus a vibrant red tie—this classic outfit for Sunna cosplay came to life in a pink gaming room. Without unnecessary fluff, today is simply about sharing this set of Zenless Zone Zero fan work imbued with the aura of the "Angels of Delusion".

When I got this costume, I had high expectations for the layering of this look. The ruffled collar of the white shirt, the black multi-layered tulle miniskirt, and the detachable long arm sleeves—combined together, these elements not only retain the vitality and playful feel unique to the game character, but also make the character's silhouette more three-dimensional through the crispness of the fabric and the puffiness of the skirt when actually worn. The mint green wig featured large curls at the ends, paired with stylish cyan fin-shaped hair accessories and small black hair clips, striving to visually replicate that lightweight yet recognizable twin-tail texture.

The shooting environment chosen was a fully furnished pink-themed room. A pink gaming chair, pegboard walls, anime figures scattered across the desk, and a running computer screen—these elements constructed a living scene very fitting for a "gamer homebody" or "Vtuber" vibe. During the actual shoot, the pink utility cart and that pink-and-white prop gun served as great supporting props, allowing me to better find a sense of narrative in the frame even without a script.

As for makeup, I continued my preferred approach of 2D character-inspired makeup. By wearing large-diameter colored contacts and emphasizing the lower eyelid makeup, the gaze looks more focused and ethereal. Combined with highlighted apples of the cheeks and a youthful lip shade, the overall complexion and energetic feel were boosted up a notch. The lighting in this set of photos is soft and bright, perfectly balancing the heaviness of the black parts in the costume, making the two main colors—pink and mint green—appear exceptionally fresh and pleasing to the eye.

Rather than standing quietly, I prefer to show the character's dynamic feel in front of the camera. For example, stretching arms widely in the pink cart, or sitting sideways in front of the computer chair pointing at the screen, as well as that snapshot looking back over the shoulder—these poses with a sense of interaction often convey the character's "sweet and cool" yet casual nature much better than rigid standing poses. Especially with the help of slouch socks and sneakers, whether sitting or standing, the leg lines appear quite slender, which is one of the most eye-catching aspects of this subculture fashion.

The original intention for doing this cosplay was my deep love for the character's overall visual design. As an attempt within the Zenless Zone Zero Creator Incentive Program, I hoped to restore her distinct personal traits from the game as much as possible through light, shadow, and styling. The entire shooting process didn't involve complicated posing instructions, relying more on the on-site atmosphere and prompts from props to naturally reveal the character's demeanor. Behind every work is a multi-combination of makeup, photography, lighting, and model state, and the pink gaming room setup was undoubtedly the biggest bonus point, keeping the photo set grounded with a sense of everyday realism.

Looking back at this set of photos now, the mint-colored tips of the hair, the folds of the hem, and the details of the stockings and shoes under the light and shadows all remind me of the focused yet relaxed state during the shoot. There are many ways to express cosplay; some prefer extreme restoration, while others like stylized creation. For Sunna cosplay this time, I chose to add some of my own aesthetic habits and shooting environment on top of restoration, hoping to bring everyone a touch of freshness. The tension inherent in game characters can indeed manifest a different kind of vitality through 3D outfits and lenses. This pink shooting experience was a deeply satisfying expression, recording a memory belonging to this character and to the photography team.
