[Arona cosplay] Blue Archive Rooftop Pool, Summer Water Pool party Time

This water-themed Arona cosplay set is set in an outdoor Pool party venue, designed around recreating the character's refreshing waterside vibe. Located on a high-rise rooftop, the pool offers views of dense city buildings and nearby palm trees in the background. Unobstructed afternoon sunlight pours down, turning the water a clear turquoise. The paddleboard features an orange, white, and blue paint scheme; its windproof tie-down cords and anti-slip rubber pads on the sides feel textured to the touch. Choosing a prone pose lying on top allowed the paddleboard's surface texture to accentuate my silhouette while adding a playful touch.

The core of this makeup and styling lies in the accessories: a custom light blue halo fixed at the crown of the head, paired with double-layered bows that show distinct cute angles with slight adjustments. The white wig reveals distinct layers under outdoor sunlight, with pink gradient tips serving as a visual highlight. The swimsuit features a light blue sailor collar with lace-up neckline details, creating a smooth Summer outfit that fits the body comfortably. A white choker accent prevents excess empty space on the neck, creating visual balance.

Major poses during shooting included lying down with hands cupping my chin, raising a hand to block the sun, sitting cross-legged with one leg, and holding a blue popsicle. Alternating these poses built a coherent narrative. Since I needed to sit on a floating paddleboard, controlling center-of-gravity shifts stably was crucial to prevent tilted compositions. During candid snaps, fully exposing relaxed feet conveyed a genuine, laid-back mood.

Post-processing color grading aimed to preserve natural environment colors while boosting saturation to enhance the summer atmosphere. The biggest challenge in water Anime-style photography is specular reflection on the surface, but controlling our shoot timing avoided blown-out white glare, resulting in natural water ripples instead. Facial skin tone was calibrated toward cooler undertones to harmonize with cool-toned hair and light blue clothing.

Experiencing the character's lively and affectionate nature through cosplay was a fascinating process. Arona is very proactive in interacting, so in the photos, I leaned toward expressing active engagement with the camera lens. Without over-exaggerated body language, a natural expression or placing a hand beside my cheek conveys her gentle quality. Both visually and experimentally, this shoot reached high completion. Immersing myself in the waterside environment felt like truly stepping into a Blue Archive summer event stage. Organizing these photos, each frame carries authentic afternoon sunlight and breeze.
