The shoot for this Luo Tianyi pamphlet bride look involved a long process of deliberation, from the initial styling concept to the actual studio set design. Since it is a "bride" theme, we decided to discard any redundant colors for the overall color palette, focusing almost entirely on large areas of pure white complemented by light blue accents. The silver-gray long hair was paired with her iconic loop hair accessories and a light-colored bow. For the makeup, I intentionally lightened the shading to enhance the clarity of those green eyes, hoping to restore a holy and pure aura.
This shoot took place inside the studio of Chongqing Yuxia Photography. The white European-style mantelpiece, textured Roman columns, large white plush carpet, and dried flower arrangements they provided perfectly matched the requirements of the shoot. For the photographer, this kind of high-key pure white scene is actually quite a test of light control. The diffuse soft lighting on set gave the character an ethereal feeling of being enveloped by light, and the sheer veil created a shimmering, dynamic beauty under the light, which was perfectly presented in the final visual outcome.
During the shooting process, we experimented with several different styling concepts. For instance, a sitting pose holding a bouquet, paired with the wide, sprawling skirt hem, created a serene sense of quiet waiting; another was a profile close-up holding a blue butterfly prop, which kept the overall frame from looking monotonous, adding a touch of lightness and magical visual fantasy. The tailoring of the outfit was also very meticulous—the bandeau and halter design beautifully showcased the shoulder and neck lines, while the over-the-knee socks decorated with fringe trim and high-heeled ankle boots allowed the bride look to balance elegance with the unique cuteness of anime-style photography.
Although the caption for this photoset casually mentioned an "apology for OOC (Out of Character)" because we naturally hoped to stay as close as possible to the original setting's atmosphere during a shoot, this gorgeous "pamphlet bride" look itself actually incorporates a lot of restructuring in makeup, styling, light, and shadow. Putting on this pure white gown felt as though I, along with the character, shed my usual sharp edge and became gentle and serene. The collaboration this time was incredibly pleasant. The photographer's color grading and post-processing not only preserved the environmental details but also beautifully highlighted the lightweight feel of the fabric, making me feel that all the preparation was well worth it.
Purely immersing myself in the studio for these few hours and throwing myself into this bridal dreamscape was my most profound experience during this shoot. I hope this shared work can bring some different perspectives on this character, while also serving as a complete record of the preparation for this shoot. The entire process was incredibly rewarding.
