[Amiya cosplay] Arknights: White Rabbit Themed Indoor Studio Shoot Log

Bringing this Amiya big white rabbit concept to life took roughly two weeks from initial planning to realization. Finding the blue plaid fabric that best matched the design took quite a while, and the lace collar and delicate red piping were later hand-stitched on piece by piece. The rabbit ears on the headband required careful anchoring to conform to the curvature of the head, and styling the wig took considerable patience—the straight blunt bangs and face-framing side locks had to faithfully honor the character's signature visual cues.

For the shoot, we chose a seamless white cyclorama studio. The pure white backdrop maximized the crisp contrast between the blue dress and the white lace, keeping the frame uncluttered. The giant White Rabbit creamy candy bolster served as the visual center of the entire series; the blue bunny emblem and typographic details on the pillow carried rich texture and an undeniable touch of nostalgia. While shooting, I sat on the floor with my legs stretched forward, wrapping my arms around this oversized pillow while gently resting my cheek against it. With my eyes closed, I kept focusing on steady breathing to relax my facial muscles, aiming to convey a serene, secure, and gently drowsy demeanor.

For makeup, I opted for a soft, everyday natural palette, putting the emphasis on clean, translucent eye definition. The eyeliner was kept delicate and slender, paired with matte earth-toned shadows that hugged my natural skin tone closely so the look wouldn't feel overly heavy under intense studio lights. When wearing the bunny ear headpiece, angle was everything—standing them straight up felt stiff, while tilting them slightly outward yielded a much more organic contour.

The pairing of white stockings and black Mary Janes created a distinct focal point in this styling. Under studio strobes, white hosiery naturally reflects light, requiring precise key-light angles to prevent highlight blowouts. The photographer utilized a gentle frontal fill complemented by subtle side rim-lighting on my right, cleanly carving out my body silhouette while adding tactile depth to the folds of the skirt. For the seated posture, I deliberately extended my right leg slightly forward to lengthen visual proportions in camera, preventing the framing from feeling cramped.

Honestly, the plush pillow was heavier than expected, leaving my arms a bit sore after prolonged holding, but sinking into that soft cushioning helped me settle into character much faster. In a few frames I tried peeking with eyes slightly open, but checking the monitor confirmed that closed eyes far better captured the tranquil tone of the set, so we committed to that direction for the rest of the shoot.

Post-processing stayed dedicated to a clean and airy mood. Skin texture was preserved without excessive smoothing, focusing primarily on fine-tuning the saturation of the blue dress to let that vibrant cerulean pop. The background retained generous negative space, with soft, organic shadow transitions between the subject and props.

The final photos captured the exact fairy-tale charm and dimensional lighting I envisioned from the start. The session flowed effortlessly, the studio temperature was comfortable, and both the prop styling and character mood hit every mark.
