[Amiya cosplay] Arknights: A Pure White Studio Experience with a Cool-Faced Cute Bunny

The setting of a "cool-faced cute bunny" sounds quite paradoxical, but on Amiya from Arknights, it hit the exact contrast I wanted to shape. Before the studio shoot, I made thorough preparations. The core of this set was to blend the character's calm, resolute composure with her enduring maidenlike traits against a pure white background.

In terms of costume fidelity, the focus this time was choosing and balancing small details. The inner white shirt had a looser fit, making it less prone to tight wrinkles while sitting. The layered light purple ruffled scarf at the neck served as the visual center of the upper body, anchored by a dark brown tie-knot along the edge and paired with a bright blue collar ornament, instantly enriching the overall layering. The coat selected was the classic black-and-blue spliced style; the cuffed sleeves and high-saturation blue lining popped vividly against the pure white studio backdrop, and though the sash print on the left arm was only partially exposed, it made the character's identity even clearer.

For the bottom wear, I chose a blue-and-white plaid pleated skirt that echoed and color-blocked with the coat's black and blue tones. The paired opaque Black stockings heavily tested material quality—they needed to exhibit an even, delicate matte texture without reflection or pilling to create a material contrast with the sheen of the patent leather loafers on my feet. When shooting seated poses, I repeatedly tried several leg placements; crossing my legs was aimed both at matching the spread of the skirt and making leg lines wrapped in Black stockings look slender and natural before the camera.

Regarding hair and makeup, since the character's straight long hair with bangs is relatively simple, I sprinkled colorful fine glitter on the hair, catching subtle glimmers under studio spotlights to add a touch of agility. As for the iconic Bunny ear styling, I specifically used higher-rigidity filling material this time to ensure the ears wouldn't collapse from any angle, standing tall and creating a wonderful chemical reaction with the "cool-faced" expression. The shooting process really tested facial tension; I deliberately flattened my lips in front of the lens, staring straight into the camera with a slightly cool gaze, paired with my hand resting gently on the coat, striving to capture a state of calm composure with a slight hint of spaced-out stillness.

Regarding lighting, key front light combined with auxiliary reflectors was utilized to gently dissolve harsh facial shadows while contrasting the boundaries between pure white and blue-black attire. This minimalist seamless background is actually more challenging than complex sets because all focus concentrates on facial expression, sitting posture, and costume tailoring. Thus during shooting, I repeatedly adjusted shoulder height and hip tilt to ensure the coat's drape appeared visually relaxed. When final photos came out, that clean and crisp atmosphere perfectly fit my vision of an alternative style presentation for Amiya, serving as a successful attempt at finding a great balance between character interpretation and visual texture.
