[Momoka Hanyuu cosplay] Izakaya Night: Who Wouldn't Want a Hearty Meal with Momoka?

The wooden tabletop of the izakaya reflected warm yellow light, while phone reflections and neatly arranged Japanese sake bottles in the background created a realistic yet dreamy night scene. Putting on this gear and sitting at the red wooden table made it remarkably easy to step into the unique lifestyle of Momoka Hanyuu from Arknights. Before shooting this photo set, we didn't design overly complex poses; rather, this authentic feeling of wanting to heartily devour a meal turned out to be the best form of expression.

Speaking of the outfit's styling, the black oversized jacket is very practical. It not only looks textured under warm night lighting, but also leaves room to display the white graphic t-shirt underneath. The metallic ring choker at the neck is a finishing touch, which, combined with the white square emblem and side cloud ornament on the black baseball cap, blends street style with the character's disposition just right. And the prop for Elf ear cosplay was the soul of this hair and makeup styling. This material takes extra effort to secure; otherwise, in this cramped izakaya seat, it easily shifts when looking down to eat. Luckily, it was reinforced beforehand, keeping it upright throughout the shoot.

For makeup, red contact lenses served as the focal point of my gaze. To complement these eyes, I specifically selected a pinkish-orange shade for eyeshadow blending without making it too heavy, preserving natural texture. Upper and lower eyelashes were brushed clearly separated so that even in slightly dim izakaya ambient light, my gaze remained focused and vivid. The wig's bangs were slightly curled inward and flipped outward at the ends, so when paired with the cap brim, it contoured my face shape without obscuring my eyes or eyebrows. The overall look had that lively 2D feel without seeming overly out of place.

Regarding the image ambiance, looking at the wooden shelves and labeled sake bottles in the background, they weren't overly blurred, but instead integrated into the frame nicely to enhance the authentic lifestyle atmosphere of Izakaya atmospheric photography. The pose in Photo 1 where I rest my chin on my hand and look to the side was actually caught while waiting for a friend to fetch food, capturing a relaxed, unguarded laziness. The gesture in Photo 2 raising both hands was done because things felt a bit too quiet and I wanted to add playful, lively energy. The red cord dangling naturally over my chest broke the monotony of the dominant black-and-white tones, acting as a great visual color highlight.

During shooting, we made the most of available ambient light without adding too much harsh lighting; warm light hit the face, which, paired with a slightly lowered brim, contoured facial features beautifully. This dark-toned light and shadow setup actually makes it easy to take great photos because it carries built-in storytelling. I feel that compared to studio sets, this type of Anime-style outdoor photoshoot filled with everyday warmth better showcases the character's casual nature. Wearing elf ears while dining with friends in a real-world corner is inherently a wonderful spatial interaction experience.

Although the outfit's silhouette leans large, the combination of choker, red cord, and crossbody bag distributes focal points evenly across the upper body without making it look overly wide. The relaxed ease shown in the photos stems from the fact that the shoot itself felt like a regular weekend dinner—no forced poses required, just enjoying the atmosphere. I think everyone viewing the photos can feel this genuine effort to bring the character into everyday life. The entire shoot wrapped up in this relaxed and lively vibe; the cover photo finally selected has a balanced composition, capturing the most authentic side of that night.
