Shooting this Amiya look was a very enjoyable experience. Although the blue ribbon bow and white top were eye-catching in the sun, I think the most captivating feature was the big fluffy bunny ears on my head. Today, we chose to shoot on a bridge along a city canal, with old red-brick buildings and modern skyscrapers in the background; the strong urban vibe perfectly complemented the character's lively personality.
In selecting the outfit, I paid special attention to the cross-star patterns on the skirt and the texture of the white frilled hem. The design of the loose white top allowed for easy movement, enabling me to execute more dynamic body poses. During the shoot, I intentionally chose a one-legged jumping posture with hands open naturally, hoping to present a state as if I were about to leap up the next second. Amiya as a character carries many traits of resilience and warmth; when cosplaying, I hope not only to restore her appearance through attire, but also to convey her inner energy through these nimble movements.
Regarding ambient light, it happened to be afternoon, and the soft natural light poured down, causing the edges of the white top to glow with a faint highlight. This diffused reflection light fits the presentation of anime textures wonderfully, avoiding harsh shadows that ruin the softness of the frame. Using a large aperture, I slightly blurred the complex city buildings in the background, keeping visual focus entirely on the character's expressions and outfit. That unique blue hair ribbon swayed gently in the breeze, giving the entire frame a touch of dynamic breathability.
As for makeup, I emphasized the eye contours and eye highlights to pair with the bunny ear look, enhancing the moe feel and alertness unique to the anime world. In outdoor photography based on specific character designs, body language and emotional expression are far more crucial than simple static standing poses. Since the character has a nimble and lively personality, even when looking directly into the camera, the eyes must maintain a bright, resolute glare rather than a fragile look.
There was also a small episode during the shoot: waterbirds occasionally flew past the river beneath the bridge railing. Although we couldn't capture them in the frame, the vitality of the natural environment gave me great encouragement. I believe true high-quality cosplay works are inseparable from the harmony of environment, light, and shadow. Under warm color tones, the blue and white outfit appears even more refreshing. The shoes I picked this time were classic black chunky-heeled loafers paired with white mid-calf socks; these subtle, retro, slightly school-style details harmonized remarkably well with the whole outfit.
After finishing this set, looking through and organizing the photos gave me quite a sense of accomplishment. Even people who don't know the character can immediately feel the atmosphere full of vitality and playfulness. For me personally, good cosplay sharing isn't about how gorgeous the shoot is, but about finding the character's foothold in a real environment. Jumping around on the bridge for several rounds was a bit tiring, but I'm extremely satisfied with the final angles and outcome, fully reaching the energetic state I envisioned in my heart.
