[Wishadel cosplay] Arknights W's Tactical Leather Gear: Unbridled Charm in Red and Blue Light

Shooting this black and red Patent leather outfit required quite a bit of trial and error from early prep to official filming. Whether trimming the wig or maintaining the costume, it demanded much more energy than ordinary cosplay outfits.

For the wig, high-temperature synthetic fibers were specially chosen. To achieve that lightweight yet layered silver-white hair shown in the photos, I meticulously thinned out the strands. The red highlights were hand-rooted, which, paired with side-swept bangs across the forehead, contoured my face shape while preserving the character's unbridled demeanor.

For makeup, I focused more on eye dimensionality this time. Upper and lower eyeliners were drawn with a subtle wing, blended with orange-brown eyeshadow to give my gaze a deep, scrutinizing look. Facial contouring was kept slightly sharper, paired with a broad sweep of blush under the eyes to create a slightly tipsy vibe. Showing my pronounced tiger teeth during an open-mouthed smile brought out a gap-moe contrast that balanced the harshness of the patent leather.

The top of this patent leather outfit features a halter-neck design, where red-and-black striped color-blocking around the collar immediately catches the eye. Glossy patent leather creates strong specular reflections under strobe lights, making lighting positions extremely demanding during shooting. The metallic zipper on the chest and buckles at the collar required careful adjustment to sit smoothly. The patent leather pleated skirt on the lower body was constructed with multi-layered splicing to keep pleats sharp and three-dimensional, which, paired with sheer tights across the thighs, formed a clear contrast in materials. The over-knee high-heeled boots feature flexible elastic bands tailored to leg shape as well as metal ring straps around the cuffs—a great bonus detail for this Tactical style cosplay look.

In Photo 1, I tried a slightly forward-leaning pose with shoulders dropped, using one gloved hand to adjust the mask ornament on top of my head. The white mask paired with a thin red cord created a peculiar balance under blue ambient light. Switching to red lighting in Photo 2, I casually sat on a chair, posing with a classic hand gesture while relaxing my posture. The red light cast a dark-red sheen over the black patent leather, making the frame appear even more dynamic and intense.

Wearing a form-fitting Patent leather outfit during shoots is actually quite tough physically—the fabric isn't breathable, sweat builds up quickly with larger movements, and patent leather creases easily. However, seeing such fantastic reflective textures in the final photos alongside the seamless presentation of the mask, black gloves, and high-heeled boots makes all the hardship feel worthwhile. The overall presented style blends the hardcore sense of tactical gear with the character's unique wild and carefree spirit; this process of closing in on a character through makeup, costume, and demeanor is precisely the greatest joy of cosplay.
