A lot of thought indeed went into the detail processing of this Arknights Lord Amiya costume. The main skirt body is a black-and-white contrasting design, and the jagged cutting at the edges—resembling feathers or shattered rock layers—had lining added to the inner layer to hold its shape and maintain stiffness. Those black spiked decorations on the arms and legs are actually custom-molded EVA materials individually, with gradient treatment applied during coloring, and require special adhesive or straps to fix them in place during wear to ensure they don't shift when movements change. The rabbit ears on the head were also reshaped; the outer side retains a coarse texture similar to real animal fur, while the inner side is lined with fluffy white fuzz. The overall center of gravity leans somewhat upward, requiring frequent neck movements during the shoot to relieve the weight.

In terms of makeup, the base makeup pursued a cold porcelain-white skin texture, and the eye makeup elongated the outer corners of the eyes, matched with light-colored contact lenses, placing key emphasis on highlighting the character's gaze that appears eroded yet resolute. The black veil used in the second picture is actually a very thin layer of organza, with irregular burnt-out treatment along the edges. Its light transmittance is quite good, meaning it doesn't completely block vision, but it can form nice shadows on the face.

The prop this time can be said to be the absolute focal point of the whole set. The surface of that oversized black sphere was treated with a piano-lacquer texture, and it was wiped with a special cleaner for a long time before the shoot just to ensure there are no fingerprints when reflecting light. It is not lightweight; holding it in your hands during the shoot requires simultaneous exertion from both arms and core strength to keep it steady, while also paying attention to adjusting the angle so that the highlight falls precisely in the direction of the lens. The surrounding red spider lilies and the red sheer drapery behind, paired with hard light emitted from a few red-head lights, created a high-contrast visual impact.

The side curled-up sitting posture in the second picture is a composition I personally prefer. By adjusting the angle of the white pedestal, the light source is made to hit from the side-rear, making the contours of the legs appear more three-dimensional under the light and shadow. The bare-foot setting paired with the black three-dimensional leg decorations stands out remarkably against the red background. The head veil naturally drapes to cover part of the face, increasing the narrative sense of the frame. When shooting characters with similar dark or otherworldly styles, everyone can try out this kind of red-black-white contrasting set design, utilizing strong light and hard shadows to highlight the texture of the costume and the contours of the figure.

In scene construction, we intentionally found a few white gypsum human sculptures half-buried in the red sheer drapery; this collision of classical and eerie elements fits Lord Amiya's setting exceptionally well. The red spider lilies densely carpeting the foreground not only enrich the color layering, but also add a sense of weight to the bottom of the frame, preventing the large area of red from appearing floaty. The placement of the flowers was also meticulously designed, with some clustered beside the props and others scattered on the white gauze, guiding the visual focus to the main subject through a combination of sharpness and blur.

The first picture of the frontal lift-up of the prop leans more towards showcasing the full view of the overall setup. The action of holding the ball with both hands forms a scale contrast between the arms' black finger sleeves and the giant sphere. Meanwhile, the second side view utilizes the height difference of the steps to place the character in a relatively relaxed curled-up state. This posture has a special advantage when handling the skirt hem and leg lines; standing barefoot on the edge of the flowers can showcase an untamed sense of fragmentation. The occlusion of the veil focuses the line of sight on the faintly visible gaze and legs, and paired with the red-toned lighting in the scene, the resulting picture has immense tension.

Overall, a lot of time was spent in this photoshoot on restoring material textures and creating the environmental atmosphere. From the costume cutting and pattern making, prop grinding and painting, to the final lighting array setup, every single link was designed to present that most perfect moment in front of the lens. Dark-style stylings often require strong contrast to highlight character traits, and when trying such styles, everyone can pay more attention to the collision between materials—such as matte fabrics and glossy props, soft petals and hard gypsum—where all these contrasts can become bonus points for the frame.
