[Amiya cosplay] Studio Photoshoot Record of Arknights Jungle Affliction Style

This photoshoot features Amiya's look from Arknights, combining the studio setup to recreate the atmosphere of "Jungle Affliction." The first close-up highlights the hair and makeup details of the head, while the second full-body shot clearly shows the layering of the dress and leg styling. The overall studio photoshoot lighting was set to a uniform high-key bright white light, reducing shadow contrast to highlight a sense of pure cleanliness, which perfectly matches the bouquet elements and the white arch background tone.

Let's first talk about the concept behind the cosplay outfit styling. The main piece is a black-and-white color-blocked off-the-shoulder design, with a wide black choker at the neck to anchor the visual center. The lower half features a pouf dress with layered white ruffles, paired with long black ribbons. When walking or sitting down, the extension of the skirt and ribbons creates different physical dynamic effects, offering great flexibility in composition. For the wig, a reddish-brown style with blunt bangs was chosen, embellished with tiny beads among the hair strands, which adds light-and-shadow texture to the crown while preventing the overall look from feeling plain. The black-and-white feathers and fluffy animal ear style on the head are the soul of this look—the plush texture combined with the sharpness of the feathers retains the character's lively nature while aligning with the wild feel of this version setting.

For the makeup, the focus was on transparency and expressing the eyes. To complement the blue-gray contact lenses, the eye makeup was kept soft, softening sharp eyeliner lines and concentrating on the lower eyelid transition to make her gaze appear clearer and harmonize with the bright studio lighting. The makeup avoided heavy, dark colors so as not to lose focus when paired with the white background and white bouquet.

Regarding decisions during the shoot, the facial close-up in Photo 1 holding a white bouquet was ideal for displaying expressions and details, creating strong eye-contact connection with the lens. Photo 2 used the Roman column base on set as support; the seated composition fully showcased the costume layers, leg silhouette, and footwear pairing. On my feet were white lace ankle socks with black chunky-heeled Mary Jane shoes; the teal ankle straps were an easily overlooked yet lovely accent, providing a touch of color contrast in the pure white environment. We switched between these two poses several times during the shoot; because the skirt was quite voluminous, sitting down required repeatedly adjusting the placement of the long black ribbons to prevent them from piling up messily on the floor.

The collaboration with the photographer this time moved at a fast pace. Having communicated in advance to achieve a cool, spacious, yet gentle visual vibe, on-site lighting relied mainly on diffuse reflection to avoid harsh hotspots, ensuring even illumination on the face. Reviewing these materials after the shoot confirmed that high-key lighting indeed easily creates an ethereal, dreamlike atmosphere, ideal for conveying a character design that blends sweetness with a touch of sharpness. Although many details required repeated fine-tuning—such as bouquet orientation and ribbon positioning—the final presentation in color and composition matched expectations very well in this studio photoshoot share.
