[Shamare Cosplay] CP32 Reunion Logs: Arknights 7th Anniversary Shamare & Suzuran in One Frame

Directly cutting to the chase, although this CP32 has passed for a while, I've finally sorted out a few satisfying photos from this Shamare and Suzuran duo shoot. Shooting this combination at the special milestone of Arknights' 7th anniversary holds a rather special meaning for us. After the previous photos were posted, some friends said they didn't run into us at the venue; that's actually because our shooting time was mostly concentrated in less popular, uncrowded corners, which happened to avoid the noisy bustle of peak hours.

First, let's talk about the costume preparation. The pink-haired character's Shamare outfit is quite particular about details, especially that big pink fluffy tail and headpiece, whose weight and balance needed repeated adjustments to achieve a naturally fluffy state. The wig also went through multiple layers of styling to maintain this thick curliness. The blonde character's Suzuran, on the other hand, emphasizes the layering of the entire dress set; those flared animal ears and the blue hair ribbon are the finishing touches, while the design of the shawl and the pleats of the skirt hem create a wonderful sense of elegance when walking. Although both of us walking around the venue carrying huge tails drew lighthearted teasing from passersby and photography masters, seeing the texture of the stacked fluffy elements in the final photos made all the hard work feel worth it.

As for action capture, we abandoned somewhat rigid fixed-point standing poses, leaning more toward snapshot captures while walking or chatting by the railing like friends. The core of this natural interaction lies in eye contact; moments like standing together with arms around each other's shoulders or looking into each other's eyes actually feel much more tacitly understood than deliberately posed stances. I particularly want to mention the photo of us standing side-by-side in Image 3, where the sunlight happens to pour through the glass curtain wall, rendering the black, white, and purple color-blocking on the costumes and the details of the white leggings exceptionally clean. During the shoot, a few fellow fans watched nearby, but everyone was very quiet and didn't disrupt our slow-paced rhythm of easing into the state.

In fact, a convention environment with massive foot traffic like CP32 Anime Convention created quite a few difficulties for post-processing and lighting. Although the platform we were on had natural light, backlighting could be very severe at specific angles, and reflections from the glass would also wash out part of the color. Therefore, during the shoot, we could only continuously fine-tune our positions to catch the few minutes when the light hit sideways perfectly. This time, the final photos didn't undergo excessive environmental atmosphere rendering; we tried to keep a clean and bright background to focus the visual attention on the lines of the wig, accessories, and the clothing itself. This was also to restore our understanding of these two characters\u2014that meticulously styled yet authentic, lightweight 2D texture.

Looking back at these five photos, from the well-behaved posture of squatting and looking up, to the carefree feeling of standing side by side, and finally to the moment of relaxing against each other's shoulders, they actually just covered the different stages we went through during that day's shoot. From the high mental concentration at the beginning, to the relaxed state in the middle, to finally packing up with a bit of fatigue but absolute peace of mind. Cosplay photo sharing isn't just a display of characters and costumes; it records the intersection of us players and creators in a specific space due to a shared hobby.

This shoot didn't deliberately chase extreme luxury or exaggerated compositions; it was more about presenting a daily and vivid character interaction. The 7th anniversary is an important milestone for Arknights. Being able to participate in an anime convention as our favorite character images at such a time node is itself a highly ceremonial commemoration. For the subsequent photo editing, I will continue to retain this clean and natural style, letting the texture of the clothes and the temperament of the characters complement each other more closely.
