[Amiya Cosplay] Unexpected Clear Tone After Rain: A Healing Moment in Arknights

The wet ground after the heavy downpour at Hypergryph Fes made me think it would be hard to get good shots, but the DJI Pocket 4 Pro delivered surprisingly outstanding results. The sudden rain washed the air clean of dust, leaving leaves glistening with water droplets that showed an extraordinarily rich green under soft, diffused light. I decided to take advantage of the lingering damp atmosphere right after the rain, and every candid frame pressed felt naturally translucent.

For styling, I wore Amiya's casual outfit: a white lace off-the-shoulder top with a black ribbon bow tie and skirt, highlighted by brown rabbit ears and her signature blue-green rings. To avoid over-the-top accessories clashing with the rainy environment, I adjusted camera settings toward soft, true-to-life restoration. The DJI Pocket 4 Pro in hand proved to be an ideal tool for convention walk-around Cosplay photography; the compact body allowed long single-handed holding without arm fatigue, making low-angle POV shots and forward lens-reaching gestures effortless.

For shooting parameters, I used horizontal 4K 60fps, ensuring crisp detail while leaving plenty of footage for post-production video editing. Considering the gloomy, cool lighting after rain, I set exposure compensation to +0.3 to brighten the image and let white garments naturally pop against dark backgrounds. ISO was set to auto 100-800 to boost shadow details while suppressing noise. White balance was locked at 4400K; this color temperature gave a gentle warm touch under overcast daytime skies, avoiding harsh glare. Tint was set to +10, which combined with standard 10-bit color mode, preserved a elegant, sophisticated palette without artificial over-saturation.

The equipment's D-Log M profile and post-software D-Log M settings proved extremely effective for high-contrast scenes between highlights and shadows. Exporting footage via the DJI MIMO app with HDR enabled and an Oxygen filter at +17 immediately added a breathable ambiance, while sharpness at +20 crisply defined lace fiber edges, leaf veins, and fine glitter in the wig. This combination represents my approach to clear tone color grading.

In Cosplay photography, adding plush props often enhances interactivity. I brought a plush toy wearing a navy blue cap, which naturally created topic relevance. Looking down at the toy or holding it up toward the camera brought out an authentic 2D character daily life vibe, far more lively and adorable than rigid formal poses.

Many believe bright sunny daylight is necessary for great photos, but this shoot proved that uniform diffused light under post-rain clouds actually suits casual, walk-around convention logs. As long as we master our gear's high dynamic range and color direction, even dreary weather becomes a unique background element.
