A great deal of effort went into the details of this Odette cosplay costume. From the white fuzz along the neckline to the hollowed-out golden badge on the chest, every edge of the metallic trim underwent repeated tailoring adjustments. In particular, for the dark-blue gradient fabric of the main dress, I deliberately selected a material with a subtle pearlescent shimmer so that it creates a crystal-like refraction effect under studio lights, achieving a level of fidelity I'm extremely pleased with. The wing-shaped headdress really tests the wearing angle: it has to maintain frontal visual symmetry without crushing the wig, and it was finally secured firmly with multiple layers of bobby pins.

For the shoot, I intentionally chose a setting with European-style carved patterns and draped blue tulle; this cool-toned atmosphere matches the character's setting exceptionally well. The vintage pendant light on the right cast warm light spots, creating a warm-cool contrast with the overall blue-and-white color scheme, instantly elevating the visual texture. To convey a light and airy feel, I moved away from stiff, static standing poses and adopted dynamic movements like raising my arms and turning, which allowed the pleats of the skirt to flare out naturally and better showcased the dimensional layers of the white tulle.

Speaking of accessories, the red heart-shaped gemstone at the waist was the finishing touch, adding a focal point amidst the cool color palette. The detached design of the gloves and arm guards was slightly tricky to put on and take off; especially for the deep blue long glove on the right side, anti-slip tape was added inside to keep it from slipping during arm movements. The wig features a light blue gradient with slightly curled ends, echoing the white feathers on the headpiece. For stockings, I chose a textured white knit style for this White thigh-highs outfit, which reveals subtle line patterns under the light, offering more rich details than plain solid colors.

Before this photoshoot, I reviewed the character's body language again. She should give off an aloof yet gentle and graceful impression, so I deliberately controlled the angle of my chin and kept my gaze level with a slight looking-back nuance. The arm-raising pose in Photo 1 was practiced many times: the arm line needed to be as elongated as possible with fingers naturally spread, while slightly tilting the waist. This not only highlighted the waist's cut-out tailoring but also allowed the skirt to flare out in a fan shape. The photographer's lighting was spot-on—the side rim light outlined the contours of the headpiece and shoulders, making the whole silhouette look bathed in a soft, ethereal halo.

For makeup, I applied pinkish eyeshadow and a soft lip color to avoid heavy makeup that would compromise the clear, translucent look, with slightly elongated eyeliner to make the eyes appear deeper. Because this costume reveals some skin, I applied body highlighter on my collarbones and shoulders to enhance the glow. During the shoot, to ensure the ideal skirt shape in every photo, I had to readjust the skirt pleats almost every time I changed poses. But seeing those flowing blue ribbons and billowy skirt moments in the final pictures made all the meticulous adjustments completely worthwhile.

The most rewarding part of cosplay is being able to convey my understanding of a character's aura through the lens. Although this costume has numerous small accessories that require careful organizing, the moment I put it on, the atmosphere endowed by the character naturally surfaced. We shot two sets of angles this time: the first had a more open and dynamic feel, while the second was relatively serene. Considering the presentation effect on social media, I ultimately chose the first photo as the cover because it better covers the full costume, accessory details, and leg lines of this Blue-haired girl. I hope everyone can feel the care poured into this look, serving as a humble tribute to Genshin Impact creation.
