[Shimoe Koharu cosplay] Blue Archive: Pink and White Dress with White Stockings Record

For Part 2 of the Shimoe Koharu cosplay (Shimoe Koharu cosplay) photo series, I chose this pink-and-white dress styling. This outfit contains an extraordinary number of details: from the deep blue choker at the neck and multi-tiered ruffled hemline to the black-and-blue feather embellishments along the waist and back, dressing up required meticulous care to preserve each layer. For the wig, I selected a style with a soft pink-to-white gradient, using plenty of hairspray beneath the surface to hold the voluminous shape of the twintails. The pink halo prop perched overhead was crafted from acrylic; during the shoot, finding the right angle was crucial to prevent harsh reflections from blowing out the prop.

The location was set inside an all-white European-style hall framed by angelic statues and Gothic archways, embellished with blue-and-white delphiniums and pink blossom sprigs. To match this whimsical setting, my makeup featured pink circle lenses with soft pink smudging across the eyes and cheeks, striving to capture that delicate yet subtly spirited personality unique to the character.

The first photo features a seated pose upon an ornate white pedestal, holding a bouquet of pink and white blooms. To highlight the texture of the White stockings (White stockings), I bent one leg slightly resting atop the ledge while letting the other drape down naturally, visually elongating the leg lines. Because white stockings tend to blow out easily under strong light and lose texture, I coordinated with the photographer to moderate the flash power, utilizing soft side-lighting to preserve delicate gradations between the hosiery and skin. The way I cradled the bouquet was adjusted multiple times to keep from obscuring the waistline while keeping arms relaxed.

The second standing shot holding the flowers aimed to evoke a quiet, contemplative mood. This demanded angling my body slightly toward the camera while letting my gaze wander off-frame. With the off-the-shoulder cut, keeping the neckline and shoulders open without slouching was paramount. The statues and arches softened by shallow depth of field behind me provided rich spatial depth, preventing the image from feeling flat.

The third high-angle composition used foreground pink branches as an organic frame. This perspective placed high demands on expression and posing—requiring a slightly tucked chin and focused eyes. Looking back across the entire Cosplay photoshoot (Cosplay photoshoot), the biggest takeaway was that outfits laden with ribbons and feathers easily snag during poses, requiring constant pauses to straighten accessories. Faithfully embodying a 2D (2D) persona cannot rely solely on simple smiles; one must capture that characteristic spark in the eyes. From smoothing garments and adjusting props to micro-tuning every stance, every effort served to realize the character's canon design in 3D without excessive visual effects, letting the authentic lighting and set tell the story.
