This bunny-themed cosplay photoshoot of Arknights Amiya completely satisfies childhood fairytale fantasies. The costume chosen this time is a casual maid outfit cosplay dominated by blue-and-white checks, paired with a white lace apron skirt. The neckline and cuffs both feature ruffled contrast trims, which overall retains the character's cute hallmarks while adding a touch of daily-life texture. To fit the theme, it was specially paired with deep brown twin tails and a cross hairpin adorned with blue rhinestones.

When shooting this set of photos, I most wanted to highlight Amiya's lively yet gentle temperament. In the first image, the gesture of making a finger heart with both hands is actually meant to convey a healing and intimate feeling, and that plush little bunny prop wearing a blue-black vest was simply the best companion during the shoot; it not only added to the narrative story of the frame but also made the hand movements more natural. In the second image, a vintage brass magnifying glass was utilized alongside a surprised and playful expression, creating a sense of exploration akin to Alice in Wonderland. I really love this kind of shooting experience where picking up a prop allows you to instantly switch personalities.

For the scene arrangement, the photographer used a large number of pink and white roses and hydrangeas, along with a wooden piano and a vintage carved mirror frame. The ground was covered with a vast area of white lace tulle, making it visually very rich and dreamy. Amiya's character inherently carries a sense of maturity and a steady sense of responsibility, but this costume combined with the white rabbit elements showcases more of her soft, approachable side. During the shoot, it was necessary to precisely control the gaze and expression, both retaining the innocence of a small animal and not losing the character's agility.

I've always felt that cosplay is not just about changing into an outfit, but rather a brief experience of the character's core soul. When preparing this look, I paid special attention to the detailed pattern of the costume and the overall color coordination. The blue and red embellishments make the entire appearance look fresher. Weaving through the flowers, sitting and lying on the white gauze drapery, or even holding a magnifying glass to explore playing cards in the corner—these actions prevent the photos from looking stiff. I hope everyone can feel the care I put into this look. In fact, during the process of combining outdoor and studio shooting, just adjusting the light and props took a lot of time, but seeing the lighting atmosphere of the final photos, everything was worth it. Through the combination of different props and the shift of scenes, I strove to capture the reliable Amiya in the Doctor's eyes, or perhaps a cute little rabbit exploring secrets in the garden.

I accidentally discovered that the effect of pairing this rabbit ear prop with Amiya's little dress was a perfect fit. The waistline design of this dress is very friendly, allowing unrestricted movement, so it stretches freely when executing dynamic actions, which is highly crucial for multi-camera, multi-angle snapshots. After applying the base makeup, a fresh orange-pink toned eyeshadow was used to make the eye shape look rounder and more spirited. When paired with contact lenses, the gaze transmission was very direct. When making gestures in front of the lens, I paid attention to the elongation and power of my fingers. For instance, the angle of making a heart in the first picture required both hands to form a beautiful triangle while exposing the rabbit ears to avoid being obscured by hair accessories.

The choice of props is one of the souls of this entire set of photos. Aside from that little bunny plush doll, the application of the gold-handled magnifying glass added another layer of vintage mystery to the frame. Centered around these three core props, the photographer and I designed three different scene states: gentle, surprised, and quiet. The moment the magnifying glass was raised in the second picture was actually to break the stiffness of conventional standing poses, utilizing a diagonal composition to give the frame more tension. The posture sitting on the white gauze on the ground in the third picture excelled at emphasizing Amiya's quiet, soft side. In this process, I found that Amiya's character exhibits different emotional facets across distinct works, and this set beautifully fits her relaxed, daily side. To enhance immersion, a real cake model was placed in the scene along with large playing card elements in the background, making it feel like being inside a tea party; though tiny, these details effectively elevate the layering of the photos when placed properly.

I actually really enjoy this process of communicating the plan beforehand and then repeatedly adjusting it on set. This shoot was completed in an indoor real-scene studio. The studio contains not only floral landscapes but also vintage wooden furniture, perfectly matching the vintage pastoral style of this costume. Regarding lighting, we used a main light source paired with soft light modifiers, making the character's facial contours appear very soft, while the surrounding environment's light was embellished using small lamps to highlight the gorgeous, intricate setting without stealing the spotlight from the main subject. The hair underwent a double-layered curling treatment to make the ponytails fluffy and three-dimensional, achieving a wonderful visual balance when paired with the horizontally growing rabbit ears. For Amiya's personality, I've always felt she has a power that puts people at ease; through the stacking of cute elements this time, I hope to unlock more cute genes while retaining that sense of power. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable shoot. From the makeup to the final photos, I felt the joy of creation at every step, enjoying the process of restoring the character. I hope this bunny memory of Amiya can be beautifully recorded in our anime-style photography.
