[Argus cosplay] Azur Lane: Evening Banquet Formal dress cosplay in Elegant style

This evening gown set for Argus cosplay from Azur Lane has finally come to fruition. When I first laid eyes on this design, I was completely captivated—especially by the crisscross halter neckline with a plunging keyhole cutout, combined with that shimmering blue micro-glitter fabric that casts exquisite refractions under lighting. To recreate that feel, I specifically chose a form-fitting gown with metallic shimmer powder texture; under the studio lights, the sparkling specks across the gown truly shone brilliantly in this Formal dress cosplay.

For the wig, I selected long straight silver-white tresses with neatly trimmed blunt bangs, crowned with an oversized shimmering bow in an echoing palette. For makeup, the focus was placed firmly on the eyes, featuring vibrant bright blue contact lenses to harmonize with the gown, slightly deepened at the outer corners. A true red lip color was chosen, achieving the formal sophistication of an evening banquet while retaining the character's signature cool, aloof glamour.

The accessories genuinely took considerable thought. The golden gemstone pendant and double-layered necklace at the halter neck are the soul of the look, paired with multi-ring golden armbands on the arms and a golden chain thigh garter on the left leg. The collision of these metallic textures with the rich blue gown creates captivating visual depth. The gown itself features a high-slit cut paired with black safety shorts underneath, allowing leg lines to flow seamlessly whether walking or striking poses. To accentuate a sensual, curvaceous silhouette in this Elegant style, I paired it with glossy black ultra-high heels, visually elongating my leg proportions.

The shooting location was set in a vintage European-style study, complete with a deep brown tufted leather sofa and black-and-white checkerboard tiled floors; the overall warm-toned interior perfectly accentuated the vibrant blue gown. During the shoot, I explored several seated postures, such as crossing my legs or leaning slightly to the side. Because of the high slit, arranging the skirt drape when sitting was vital—extending the leg contours toward the lens made my silhouette appear much more elongated in the final shots. Occasionally holding a small plushie or the vintage red book eased any awkward hand positioning while injecting lively narrative into the frame for this Anime-style photography.

Lighting for this photoshoot primarily aimed to emphasize the dress's shimmering luster and skin translucency. The key light came in from the front-side, and combined with a moody, dark background, sharply carved out my silhouette. Although posing in sky-high heels was exhausting, seeing the vintage, Elegant style ambiance rendered through light and shadow made every effort worthwhile.
