Today's shoot features Laffey's White Rabbit's Oath wedding skin from Azur Lane. The core of this look lies in materializing the game's lively yet endearing bunny-ear bride persona into reality, with a strong focus on highlighting the ceremonial atmosphere of the oath.

For the costume's fabric, I chose a relatively crisp satin layered with multiple tiers of sheer tulle underneath to properly support the skirt's silhouette against a neutral gray background. The dark blue bow tie and striped waist ribbon serve as the outfit's visual anchors; I custom-ordered ribbons with virtually zero color variance from the original illustration, painstakingly verifying details like the white bunny accent on the side of the belt and the silver cross beneath the straps. The bridal bouquet combined white roses and baby's breath, accented by cascading dark blue wide ribbons that created wonderful dynamic flow when moving, perfect for candid snapshots by the photographer.

Styling the white wig was the most time-consuming part of this preparation. To prevent a top-heavy appearance, trimming and thinning took a full two hours, ensuring it framed the face while maintaining airy volume at the ends. Positioning the bunny ear hairpiece was equally critical—it couldn't tilt too far forward, otherwise it would cast shadows over the face. Red contact lenses paired with translucent pinkish eyeshadow emphasized the lower lashes and aegyo-sal, rounding out the eyes to fit 2D anime traits. Full-circle eyeliner combined with a dewy, glowing base gave raw camera frames fantastic clarity.

For posing, Laffey's canon characterization relies heavily on the Commander, so I incorporated a welcoming outstretched hand gesture. Paired with the bouquet close-ups in the first and third photos, this aimed to recreate the atmosphere of waiting at the wedding venue for the Commander to take my hand. For lighting, a large softbox served as a frontal key light to eliminate harsh facial shadows, supplemented by a reflector under the chin and shoulders for even, translucent skin tones. The neutral gray backdrop effectively tempered the volume of the white tulle, drawing visual focus squarely onto the subject and the bouquet.

Though Laffey usually appears languid, the earnestness and anticipation she exhibits during a momentous occasion like the oath are utterly captivating. Maintaining a state that felt simultaneously relaxed and ceremonial throughout the shoot was essential, especially when positioning gloved fingers around the bouquet to ensure a natural, unforced grip. To accentuate the dress's lightness, we also captured candid shots while executing gentle, circular twirls.

The fourth image features a screenshot of the in-game marriage certificate. As both a player and a cosplayer, using one's own body to recreate this exact moment carries immense commemorative value. The outfit's intricate details—from lace trims to layered belts—demanded constant vigilance during shooting.
