The description 'As moonbeams shift the flower shadows, it is precisely the beautiful time in dreams' perfectly matches the artistic conception of this shoot. This time, I'm bringing you the official Xishi cosplay photoshoot from Honor of Kings. In the set at Chenxing Studio, an overall atmosphere of an autumn night lotus pond was created. The warm yellow lighting, combined with red drapes and scattered lotus lamps, truly makes one want to immerse themselves in it. This Xishi outfit has countless design details; for the white-to-orange gradient wide sleeves and skirt hem, the most critical aspect to capture is that sense of lightness. To simulate the dynamic flow of a gentle breeze, I put a lot of effort into adjusting the placement of the skirt hem during the photoshoot. The ornaments on the headpiece are exquisite and intricate, and the platinum-blonde wig was beautifully styled. The makeup this time was created by Master Yuchen. The clean, translucent base paired with a peach-toned eyeshadow palette fits the character's gentle temperament perfectly. The blush and lip makeup were done very naturally, fully restoring that agile look from the game. When changing, the straps and accessories give the styling a greater sense of layering, though putting it on and taking it off certainly requires some patience. During the shoot, the layout of the scene was also highly ingenious. The golden beaded curtains shimmered with fine light under the illumination, which, paired with the red maple leaves and lotus lamps, instantly maxed out the autumn atmosphere. The photographer utilized soft warm light to capture that hazy and dreamy feeling. Throughout the shoot, I experimented with different poses—from sitting elegantly by the lotus pond and listening quietly, to the shyness of gently touching a pink lotus, to standing up and spreading the wide sleeves—hoping to present the different facets of this character to everyone. Every time I immerse myself in such a meticulously constructed themed set, I gain a deeper understanding of the character. This shoot was not just an outdoor cosplay session, but felt more like a small encounter across dimensions. I hope this photoshoot, filled with my heart, can convey Xishi's unique gentleness and tranquility.
