[Lucia Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Convention Floor: The Perfect Collision of Silver Hair, Beast Ears, and a Cool, Aloof Aura

This Lucia cosplay outfit actually took quite a long time to prepare, from styling the wig to polishing the props, and was only finalized right before the exhibition. The shoot happened just when the afternoon light on the convention floor was at its best. The photographers on-site were incredibly professional, helping me find the right exposure in a complex light environment, preserving the texture of the black glossy bodysuit fabric while showcasing the metallic luster of the over-the-knee socks and the silver chains.

The cut of the outfit is highly form-fitting, and the glossy material of the upper body has just the right amount of reflection under the studio-style lights, preventing it from looking overly oily. The blue-green spliced color blocks paired with the black main tone are both skin-brightening and highly recognizable. Regarding props, the long-handled scepter and folding fan in my hand are both custom-made, hand-crafted props—lightweight yet full of texture, meaning they didn't add any burden to my poses, which allowed me to easily perform high-difficulty actions like standing on one leg or stepping on a stool.

The shooting environment at the convention floor was actually very noisy, with various lighting setups and passing crowds in the background. However, because the environment is authentic, it carries that special vitality unique to exhibition venues. The photographer is highly skilled at capturing fleeting dynamic moments, such as the tension in standing on one foot or slightly leaning my body. The makeup was kept as close as possible to the character's cool and aloof style, using pale eyeshadow paired with pink circle lenses, which, combined with the short silver-gray hair and fluffy beast ears, made the overall temperament highly unified. The success rate of exhibition Convention photos actually depends a lot on on-site cooperation. Communicating with the photographer about the desired compositions and angles, along with the natural light and shadow, resulted in a texture that exceeded my expectations.

The wig was specifically styled before the shoot to avoid any messy look, with the bangs trimmed just above the eyes without blocking my vision. The wearing method of the beast ears was also improved, so they wouldn't shake due to head movements, ensuring stability during the long shoot. The white over-the-knee socks on my legs are made of breathable yet thick material, preventing harsh reflections under the lights to present a matte texture instead. Combined with the black leather straps and metal tags on my thighs, the sense of detail is fully maximized. Although I was barefoot on the ground all day, for the sake of restoring the character's traits, this small difficulty was completely acceptable.

We also experimented with different standing poses and angles during the shoot. The final set of photos everyone sees is actually the result of filtering through many shots. The lighting team on-site also touched up my facial lighting several times, making my skin tone look incredibly even, and the lip color was specifically mixed to a dusty rose tone, making my complexion look great. I've been to many conventions before, but I am exceptionally satisfied with the completion of this Lucia look's makeup and outfit. Seeing the character brought to life in reality and watching the details of the final photos gradually perfect is the greatest joy of participating in conventions and Anime cosplay.

Now let's review a small episode during the shoot. Since the platform was a hard floor, standing barefoot was quite a test of balance, especially when performing the single-leg standing pose where any slight instability could easily make me wobble, but luckily the captured shots were very steady. When holding the weapon, I needed to pay special attention to the position of its tail end so it wouldn't block the display of my leg lines. This time, the photographer reminded me to lift the weapon slightly outward, allowing the black strap details on my waist and legs to show up better. Although this on-site adjustment process was tedious, it greatly improved the final photos, which is the charm of exhibition Cosplay photography.

There were no deliberate poses in this shoot, and many movements were semi-dynamically captured, making the frames look more natural and relaxed. We didn't use excessive post-production skin smoothing, preserving some skin texture, which is more in line with the authentic state under the exhibition hall lights. The collision of gloss and matte materials, and the fusion of metal accessories and leather straps, form the visual symbols of this character in a real exhibition hall. To catch the early morning shoot, I got up before dawn to do my makeup and hair; though exhausted, seeing the final photos makes it all worthwhile.
