This Azur Lane Midsummer Cool Festival was seriously so much fun, I specially did this summer look of Lady Yukikaze. The white-gray long hair paired with animal ear hair accessories, plus the sailor collar and red bowtie—I'm quite satisfied with the restoration level of the details. Actually, the fabric tailoring of this outfit is very meticulous, especially the connecting straps at the waist and the layers of the pleated skirt; I wore it and moved around all day without feeling particularly restricted. The wooden crates and blue background at the booth fit the theme of the Cool Festival quite well, and the large plushies nearby added a lot of lively atmosphere.
Yukikaze herself is a cute shipgirl who is a bit playful and tsundere, so when posing, I deliberately chose more agile and natural postures, like hands on hips, flashing a peace sign, and slightly turning sideways to look at the camera, wanting to express that energetic vibe as much as possible. During the shoot, I also communicated with the photographer to combine high-angle down shots and low-angle up shots, making the skirt hem and leg lines stretch out more beautifully. The combination of white stockings and black Mary Janes indeed looked refreshing and eye-catching in this summer scene for this Anime cosplay.
I met a lot of fellow fans on-site, and we exchanged badges and took photos together—the atmosphere was incredibly warm. A lot of effort went into this look, from wig trimming to prop preparation, and being able to leave these convention photos at a dedicated offline event is truly memorable. Every time I cosplay, I gain many different experiences; this Midsummer Cool Festival was not only a total blast, but it also made me love Yukikaze even more. Looking forward to meeting everyone again next time with a more polished work.
