[Bready cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke's Flavorful Dessert: The Perfect Contrast of Black Stockings and Firearms

When shooting this Bready look, the main consideration was the contrast between the outfit's structure and the firearm prop. Because the character design is rather unique, combining a sailor suit with an apron inherently evokes a contrast between daily life and combat. Thus, when posing, I constantly had to pay attention to the weapon's angle and the stability of my center of gravity. This shoot took place at an anime convention with many passersby in the background; the photographer skillfully utilized depth of field to blur the background, separating the main subject cleanly.

What impressed me most about this shoot was the handling of costume details. This kind of Crop top places very strict demands on body shape; to maintain an overall clean look, the abdominal area in the photos was actually retouched in post-processing. To recreate the visual effect of the canon design, I dressed very lightly and wore safety undergarments and undershorts; to achieve that direct and clean feel of the original character art, I asked the retoucher to edit out parts of the safety layers. This approach not only eliminated exposed undergarments but also made the overall body lines conform much better to the canon design, which is a fairly common technique in anime and Convention photography post-processing.

In terms of makeup, to match the character's traits, I opted for bright big-eye makeup, paired with light blonde twintails and hair ornaments, striving to craft a sweet yet subtly dangerous vibe. Handling the prop gun required decent arm strength; particularly for the pose kneeling on one knee and raising the gun with one hand, I had to stabilize my body in the noisy convention venue while keeping my facial expression completely natural without showing strain, posing a serious challenge to expression management.

Additionally, the prop gun brought along was of moderate weight, with a wood-grain texture on the body that echoed the yellow stripes on the sailor collar. We did four sets of poses in total, and the standing shot was my favorite: wrapped in black stockings, my leg lines looked very slender and elongated, paired with the miniskirt and apron for just the right touch of allure. The seated pose holding a small cupcake was also a favorite style of mine, as it didn't require straining to lift a gun, allowing me to focus more on showing sweet expressions and delicate posture.

Throughout the entire process, though it was physically demanding, seeing the retouched finished photos align much closer with the canon design and having a work created with wholehearted dedication seen by everyone felt truly rewarding. As a cosplay enthusiast, one's depth of understanding of a character is directly reflected during the shoot, and striving to recreate every minor detail is the greatest respect for the original work.
