The full photoshoot is finally here! Photography by @-空白-. First, apologies for any OOC (out of character moments), as everyone interprets a character differently. To faithfully capture the dignified presence of Ryuge Kisaki from Blue Archive, a tremendous amount of thought went into the wardrobe and props for this Misaki cosplay. This deep-blue modified qipao serves as the visual centerpiece in this Qipao cosplay: the fabric features subtle jacquard patterns, while the expansive 3D golden dragon embroidery across the chest and side stands out vividly. The neckline retains traditional Chinese frog buttons, embellished with blue floral ornaments. For the hairstyle, double buns were paired with a long straight ponytail, with hairpieces aligning closely with her iconic traits. In makeup, reddish-pink eyeshadow was chosen alongside blue colored contacts to accentuate her uniquely deep, enigmatic gaze. Being a sleeveless cut with high side slits, black safety shorts were worn underneath for security. For footwear, pointed black stiletto high heels were worn, alternating between Black stockings cosplay and bare legs across various shots.
The props were prepared with great care—including an oil-paper umbrella inscribed with calligraphy and a thread-bound edition of the Classic of Poetry (Shijing). The background set was arranged in a Neo-Chinese aesthetic featuring wooden armchairs, bonsai, tea sets, and artificial white blossoms. The shoot heavily tested body control; due to the high-slit design of the qipao, seating postures and leg lines required continuous fine-tuning. The photographer was masterful at capturing candid frames, using an off-white solid studio backdrop and studio lighting to maximize textural depth. The first shot sitting upright holding a book is composed and restrained. The second shot, lounging languidly in an armchair with crossed legs slightly raised, is a personal favorite—bursting with visual tension and dramatic impact, complemented by the black briefcase in hand to deepen the mystery. The third shot features a standing pose wearing a long striped coat, projecting a completely different commanding aura. Overall, this set strikes a fine balance between classical tradition and allure; pairing Black stockings cosplay with stilettos gave the styling a refined maturity. Huge thanks again to the photographer for the hard work during the shoot and post-processing, and thank you so much to all the sensei who read this far!
