[Nahida Cosplay] Genshin Impact Lesser Lord Kusanali, Guidance Amidst Sumeru's Greenery

The light and shadow in the forest seem to come with a sacred filter; putting on this Nahida outfit, one can't help but soften up. This time, I'm presenting Lesser Lord Kusanali from Genshin Impact. Before the shoot, I was actually quite worried about whether I could capture the vibrant atmosphere of Sumeru's Dendro element, because Nahida's setting is not just about wisdom itself, but also carries a childlike innocence and a sense of closeness to all things in the world. To recreate her personality, I deliberately toned down my usual liveliness in my expressions and posture, striving to present that vitality which is both innocent yet profound. Regarding hair and makeup, besides the iconic silver-green gradient twin-tail wig, special thought went into these pointed elf ear cuffs, making them blend naturally with my skin tone as much as possible. The small woven leaf details on the dress, along with the embellishment of the flower wreath, made the forest feel of the overall look even more complete. The photographer was very patient on set, specially finding many naturally growing vines to decorate my legs. Paired with the setting of stepping barefoot on the grass, it truly gave me an illusion of resonating with the earth. The plush little creature held in my hands is also an important prop for recreating Nahida's setting. Holding it feels as if I can experience her gentleness and protection when granting the fruit of wisdom. The material of this costume is a lightweight sheer fabric. When the mountain breeze blows, the hemline flutters in the wind, making it highly photogenic against the background of ancient moss-covered trees. During the shoot, I had to constantly mind where I stepped on tree trunks and rough moss—needing to stabilize my core while maintaining a graceful, weightless posture, which required great body control. The photographer is particularly skilled at capturing this kind of glimmer. He specifically channeled the light through the leaves, making the moments when the rim light hit the wig and flower crown look incredibly translucent; even the dust floating in the air became part of the frame. Great photos are always the result of the interaction between scene, lighting, styling, and props. Every time I participate in a cosplay, it's never as simple as just putting on clothes, but rather a journey of deeply exploring a character. Though the photographer taught me many professional posing techniques, the soul of a 2D character must still flow naturally through actions, demeanor, and gaze. I feel that Nahida's gentleness and erudition are probably hidden right inside her gaze as she quietly watches all things grow.
