This Hidden Sword cosplay outfit had been in preparation for quite some time, and aligning with the Worldline convention schedule, I teamed up with the photographer to shoot an outdoor set in the reed marshes. The setting of JX3's 'Forged by Mortals' version carries a profound sense of weight; upon receiving the costume, the most immediate impression was its sheer multitude of layers. The lace undergarments, the sheer outer tulle, and the metallic adornments across the shoulders and waist felt heavy on the body, yet carried genuine physical presence. To embody the Hidden Sword's gentlemanly reserve of keeping blades sheathed, the makeup deliberately accentuated the eye contours with a subtle upward-winged liner, paired with golden forehead ornaments and a crest crown, instantly lending a cold, resolute air in the mirror.

The prop sword was a golden heavy broadsword, feeling remarkably realistic in hand. The outdoor location was set in the reed marshes at the city's edge during the golden afternoon hours; as backlight filtered through, reflections on the sword blade and the gold embroidery threads on the fabric gleamed in unison. While posing, I constantly contemplated the Hidden Sword's combat philosophy. People often perceive their martial forms as grand and expansive, yet behind that flamboyance lies supreme restraint. When brandishing or shouldering the sword, I tightened the contours of my arms and shoulders while keeping my gaze piercingly sharp, allowing the conviction that this edge is reserved only for worthy opponents to surface naturally.

Because the attire features ample draped fabrics and waist chains, navigating through the brush was quite tricky, snagging easily against blades of grass if not careful. The metal buckles on the belt clicked against one another with every step, producing a crisp rhythm that heightened an authentic sense of imposing presence. To capture fierce sword intent, I repeated a half-kneeling sword-raising posture over a dozen times, leaving both knees and wrists quite exhausted. The photographer constantly searched for angles, alternating between standing on ladders for high-angle shots and crouching in the reeds for low-angle perspectives. Whenever a gust swept through, billowing the sheer tulle sleeves, the camera seized that instantaneous dramatic tension.

In these Convention photos, I am particularly fond of the side-profile shot shouldering the blade, where the textural layering of the robes and the palpable weight of the sword shine through, while sheer Stockings paired with white safety shorts lend an unconstrained, rogue edge to the styling. The offline convention atmosphere was vibrant as ever, and sharing this attire with fellow fans was wonderful. Many passersby stopped to watch during the shoot, and hearing children call out how cool it looked brought genuine joy. Within Chinese-style Wuxia, the Hidden Sword sect has always symbolized chivalrous gallantry and steadfast honor to me; every time I put on this gear, I remind myself to hold my posture tall and do the mantle justice.

The choice of location was ingenious, blending modern high-rises with wild natural reeds to evoke a striking temporal crossover. The 'Forged by Mortals' universe carries a certain desolation and unwavering tenacity; before the lens, I strove to let my eyes project an aloof pride looking down upon the mortal world. With specular highlights gleaming off the blade and interweaving gold and silver threads, every final photograph narrates a Hidden Sword disciple's understanding of the Way of the Sword. I hope this photo set lets everyone feel the sharp edge of the Hidden Sword—see you at the next convention!
